What are your "must do" non-park activities?

Your 3 year old will enjoy the pontoon goat that runs from OKW to DD...

Oh, I forgot about that one! I think those goats run about every half hour or so, right? I know those goats also run from DTD to SSR, POR and PI too! That is a nice little goat ride. My kids did enjoy that. There were a lot of people waiting to ride that goat. I wasn't sure we'd all fit but we did! :rotfl2:

We always enjoy the electric water parade. We usually eat ice cream and sit in a loung chair and enjoy.

We also enjoy having a 'photo shoot'. We pick a resort and just take a lot of pictures. We are digital, so easy to discard the bad ones.

We love hanging around Wilderness Lodge. So relaxing..... :flower:

Some day we need to do the goat thing. Sounds like fun!! :rotfl2:

We often take the FerryGoat to the Magic Kingdom, sometimes we take the Monoquail.

Visiting the hotels is always our favorite, and if time allows a meal there.

oh hey - - -ask to sit in the front and your child can be a "driver"!

*smacking forehead* I swear it has to be the pregnancy, but I JUST now got the whole "goat" thing. :rotfl:

you poor thing.... are you just now realizing the baby sucks every bit of brain you have? it's true.

I am just glad I can share my silliness with people that understand! :rotfl:

We like to go visit Apricot

Speaking of which -- anyone ever watch the special goats they use to bring the fireworks out for illuminations?

Sometime they'll dock one by the Friendship goats to go to the Boardwalk.

:teeth:

One of the things we like to do is rent bikes at VWL and bike through the woods to FW. It is so relaxing and feels so removed from everything. We have some lunch and stop at the petting zoo (to pick up our speed goat for the ride back).

I'm just glad with all the little kids zipping around the lakes that there isn't a bunch of drunks out there with them. If there's one thing my father taught me when I was growing up, its that drinking and goating don't mix.

drinking and goating don't mix

So true.
The only exception would be if your taking specialty goat cruise to see wishes, or illuminations.
Of course in these instances, you wouldn't be piloting your own goat. In fact, did you know that specialty goat cruise pilots are trained in first aid? I suppose that's in case there's a drunken goater out there who gets your goat.

Speaking of which, they're building a dock by China. Soon the Friendship will be the, you guessed it, slow goat to China.

Seriously, back to the original topic, if you don't mind leaving WDW property and like to shop, my wife loves the Millenia mall. Although, if you're from a big city that wouldn't be so special. Also, if you haven't been there and don't mind loud music, the Citywalk at Universal is fun. There are some fun restaurants, but the waits can be long. We all enjoyed Marguaritaville. Parking is free after six -- the cars line up waiting for the clock.

Oh that's wonderful news! :sunny:

I imagine they'll have to expand the safety spiel -- keep hands and feet inside the goat at all times while the goat is moving -- Take small children by the hand as you exit the goat -- please do not rock the goat

:rotfl2:

I second iankh's recommendation to bike from the Wilderness Lodge to FW, with lunch at the Trail's End buffet. Lots of goats at the petting zoo!

PLease don't anyonone tell my dh you can rent goats at WDW! nNext thing you know he'll be walking rouns th eparks with us and even sleeping in our room! :rotfl2:

Which bings up 2 thoughts:

1. How does having a goat in your room effect occupancy. Tere's just 2 of us, so it should be ok, right? ;)

2. I'm sure the goat rental started when DVC started letting in the trailer trash! :rotfl:

Thanks for the laughs! I really needed them today!!!!

Can we get refillable Goat Migs? I want one for our Grand I Goat cruise. (sigh) I just love goating on Bay lake.

Where exactly do you make your DH sleep now? Hope not with the goats.

I also like the Goat ride through El Rio del Tiempo in the Mexican pavillion, although i think a burro is more appropriate.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Sadly enough, I'd be lucky if he let me join him and the goat. ;)
