What are your kids' favorite things to eat in the parks?

Marshmallow wands, cake pops, cupcakes, churros, premium bars - when we go there I'm not a stickler for eating healthy. It's a fun time for us to enjoy ourselves. In fact, for our trip this summer my DD6 and I plan to spend one day only eating ice cream (or the like). YOLO!

Ice cream, churros, Mickey pretzels, "Disneyland Pasta" AKA fusilli from Pizza Port...

Our toddlers really love the toddler mac n cheese, but to me it looks gross.

We bring juice boxes, go-gurts, fruit pouches, and go-gurts for them to snack on.

My kids like all the kid food; corn dogs, chicken nuggets (which are really good) and the pizza (which I don't think is very good). For more adult friendly food, they like the fried chicken at Plaza Inn in DL. In DCA Boardwalk pizza and pasta they like the chicken sun dried tomato pasta and chicken Caesar salad.

My 12 year old DD loves fried chicken dinner at Plaza Inn - we usually split one order as she only likes the breast meat and I like the dark. She also likes tiger tails, vanilla soft serve at the Cozy Cone, and churros.

All of the above, but a particular favorite is turkey legs. We can get two for our family of five-it's important to me to get good protein in my kids as two of them go off the deep end if they don't have enough. We think they're delicious and relatively inexpensive.

Love this! Our goal for our July trip is to eat a churro from every cart in both parks. hahahaha Dd favorite 'real' meal is the kid's turkey sandwich at Flo's. She would eat this multiple times a day on multiple days if she could.

I know it's not really food but, I always have to have Red's Apple Freeze from the Cozy Cones at Cars Land. It is so delicious!

Since you've apparently seen it frequently, do you happen to know what kind of bread is on that sandwich? Flo's looks like fun but I'm trying to guess whether my dairy-free kids can eat the bread. Knowing the type of bread helps me get an educated guess before walking up and checking the binder.

My DD 8 is super picky about textures with food. She always has the hot dogs in the park, I don't like them at all but she raves about them. She also likes Pizza at Pizza Port, we share Fried chicken every trip from Plaza Inn, and she has a mickey pretzel almost every day. I am the same as other posters about letting the family splurge on theme park treats and food. As for sit down restaurants, we can always find food we all like at Carnation Cafe. My DD's first love is french fries. They are hard to find in the parks, so if necessary we hit up McD's on the way back to our Harbor blvd. hotel.

So my DS loves the power pack lunch. Yes it's a bunch of snack stuff but he isn't a big eater and it's all things he likes. I have a list of every location I can find this for him, he pretty much lived off them on our last trip and I'm sure our upcoming one will be the same. It's also convenient because if you don't want to eat at a place it's offered it's something really easy just to grab for the kids and take with you to where the adults want to eat (comes in a paper bag).

I agree with D Boss! While my oldest can eat anything, my younger two (who aren't fans of hot dogs or red pizza sauce) love the Kid's PowerPak. Yes, it pricey for the cheap things in it, but how am I gonna keep a juice pack and yogurt tube cold all day? And they can eat this everyday, multiple times a day. And again agreeing w/Boss, you can pick it up and carry it anywhere you go.

Also, there have been many time where we ate a huge lunch and just went to Gibson Girl and had waffle cones for dinner. Yes, it's being bad parents but it's vacation! We will usually share a Turkey leg to supplement protein lost by eating the ice cream as a meal. Honestly, it's the perfect vacation dinner when you're hopping ride to ride and waiting around for parades and fireworks.

My DD would eat a churro or two from every cart in both parks every day if I let her! She is already talking about the churros at Disney, we found some at a place near our home but she says that they are not the same! She also really like the pasta at Plaza Inn.

GatorChris, you do not have to have your kids follow any sort of dietary guidelines during a vacation. My best memories are of my parents letting us have ice cream for dinner. Although they always made us eat a handful of nuts to offset the ice cream. Lol! I fully plan on letting my 2 1/2 year old have some sort of ice cream, cupcake, dessert, churro, every day. And possibly twice a day. Depends how brave we are.
