Just curious? My kids no longer dress up

My son is going to be Ron Weasley from Harry Potter. I just finished all of the books and was inspired. Not very original, but he will be cute.

DD5 is going to be a witch, DD8 is going to be Tinker Bell and DD15 is going to be a 50's girl (she teaches a dance class for preschoolers and kindergartners so they will be dressed up)

DD5 is going to be an American Idol contestant; I have no idea why, but when she saw it the other day at Toys R Us, she just had to have it. DS3 is going to be Spiderman, with the built in muscle (as he says)

DD23 is going to be a gypsy (hopefully I will finish her costume by then), her BF is going to be a pumpkin (an inflatable costume I picked up last year).

How cute!! I tried to get my DS(9) to be Jeff Gordon and he looked at me like I was crazy even though that's his favorite driver.

Joey (14) isnt dressing up - I told him if he doesnt dress up, he aint going door to door begging for candy.... He may re-consider.

Danny got himself a pair of acid wash jeans, a bright colored graffiti style t-shirt - one of those swooshy material jackets, in obnoxious neon colors, and white canvas hightops, we will also "graffiti" (all for the wee-cost of $4 at Salvation Army)... we will cut his hair in a flat top, and stick it all up.

What's he gonna be??? Fresh Prince of Bel Air ....

My DS15 looks very much like Daniel Ratcliff from Harry Potter except that he's blond. He's adding a black wig and the rest of the get-up and going to a couple of parties as good old "Mr. Potter".

Older dd will be a flapper (she saw the costume in the American Girl catalog). I made her one very similar for a tiny fraction of the cost

Little dd is into all things Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus and is going to be a purple pegasus.

Pre-teen DD and her best friend are inseparable. So they came up with this costume. One will be the top half of a bananna and the other will be the bottom half. So, their costume?? ................................drum roll, please

That reminds me of several years ago a group of friends dressed up like expressions. One pinned keys all over herself. She was "All keyed up" and another had pieces of string everywhere and was "tied up in knots." I can't remember the others but their group won the costume contest

DS8 will be Stitch again and DD5 for the first time in her life will not be Tinker Bell this year. She will be Jasmine.

DD9 is being Pippi Longstocking--she has really long hair that we are braiding on a bent hanger so they stick out. Already had her girl scout party and it was a hit.

DS5 is being a skeleton--not because they are spooky, but because he is obsessed with science topics, one of them being the human body

DS3 right now says he is being Batman which will consist of black sweats with a bat insignia cut out of paper and a cape that we already have. He changes back and forth all the time so we will see.
