I know it's early but my kids are already on it

Curious to know what the "hot" items are this year.

Early, heck I'm done shopping for the kids :)
Dd asked for an ipod touch, which I got her. She also asked for a few Nintendo DS games but said all she cares about getting is the touch.
The 2 dses are asking for Wii and DS games and every single star wars action figure that they don't have  Also some legos.
I did get the family Rockband and I pre-ordered Lego Rockband.

I did get some of those zhu zhu pets, apparently those are a hot item this year.

The one thing mine are DEFINITELY interested in are the zhu zhu pets-and we've already picked up one each for all three of the kids  so that's one less thing to worry about.

THEN, my daughters are quickly forming an (un?)healthy obsession with Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana so I was thinking about a karaoke machine with a couple of her cds??

I'm asking for itunes giftcards, bookstore giftcard, money, Doctor Who, and some exercise stuff. A few books and then a few movies. Big Bang Theory and a magazine subscription and a few other things. Teenagers are hard to buy for so I always try and make a list. (I'm 16)

We are behind the times- we will finally get the Wii system this Christmas. I resisted buying them a video game system as long as I could, but DH and DD finally wore me down. So, Santa will bring the Wii, a charging dock, extra remote, and a couple of games. That's it for all of us- it's a "group gift" year.

My daughter wants a Nintendo DSi, some DS games, some Wii games and gift cards.

No one has asked for a thing yet-I don't want to hear about it this year until at least November.

Golf clubs. Naturally I don't know a thing about golf, so shopping should be interesting.

I was working on my xmas list for the kids today! I know what they want and are getting and plan to do all my shopping next week while they are in school. Next payday is our last free payday of the year and thats what I use to do my xmas shopping. Usually we get that check at the end of November or early December but this year its mid October.

For DD8 (who turns 9 on Dec.8th) from mom and dad she'll get the following:
White Computer desk for her bedroom
pink computer chair
stylin design studio
dreamlife superstar game
some cool clothes
hair dryer and flat iron

From Santa
Pink netbook
tinkerbell soft carrying case
pink mouse
plus stocking stuffers. I also have to buy an Ipod nano (pink of course) for her birthday.

For DS6 he'll get from mom and dad
starwars aircraft toy
bakugan
starwars action figures (2-3packs from Kmart clearence)
Lego pirate ship
Indiana Jones toy
another large toy
clothes

from Santa
Playstation 2
gaming rocker chair
playstation games
plus small stocking stuffers

I'm getting my mother a Digital camera (her's is old and crappy), camera bag and a couple cards. My dad will get a Kindle (he loves to read) and some bluray movies. For my dh I'm deciding between a psp go or a bull nose guard for his truck or a in dash gps/radio/dvd player for his truck.

Cat (7) wants an Ipod Touch which we already bought.

James (2) Is all about trains so we got him his own set.

-Becca-

I will buy a toy car for my 6 months old son:lovestruc, then he can sit in it to go out:love:

DS 9 is asking for 7 different video games, including Beatles Rock Band and Fossil Fighters (? no idea); an automatic Nerf gun, a wireless mouse, a Spongebob Game of Life board game, and Infamous poster (?) and at dinner tonight he asked for a microscope. Go Figure.

Every commercial for little girls my granddaughter says " I want that "

I don't have any kids yet but I do have a 9 year old sister (who'll be 10 about a month after Christmas). I always start asking her around NOW what she wants to that I have time to find it. After bugging her and bugging her for a list I got this email:

Subj: Hi Christmas

Hi For Christmas I would like a barbie doll the three muskateeres one with the brown hair, the hair salon barbie and set. For my birth day I would like the twilight board game, the edward and bella barbie dolls, and barbie clean up pup. I relly like Barbies now and mom got rid of most of my barbie things . I love you! bye!

:rotfl:

She's DEF getting the Twilight board game...because I totally want to play that. And because I'm a total pushover she'll probably get the rest of it too. Along with some stuff I've picked up over here and probably a couple gift cards. ...I love spoiling that child!!!

My mom's BIG present is a 6x6 scrapbook album that I just finished of Christmas last year (we took a trip to London). She's getting a bunch of other stuff from Dh and I too, but that's the one I know she'll love the most!

My son's too busy with homework and sports to even think about Christmas. I suppose he'll realize sometime in November and make a list or annouce his heart's desire. Seems like he has everything he needs.

My kids are DD9 and DS7. I think that more than any toy, gadget, electronic item, etc, they want the Touch and Brush. My darling children who have been taught since birth that things advertised on tv rarely live up to expectations have fallen in love with a junky plastic toothpaste dispenser. A junky toothpaste dispenser that costs $20! I bow down to the awesome advertising powers of Nickelodeon!

I got DD the Hannah Karoake machine last year and it's still a big hit. Be sure to pick up another microphone though. It comes with 1 but 2 is much more fun :)

My 9yo DD is the same way..lol..thinks the touch and brush is the coolest thing ever. But..she's the type that will be channel flipping, see an infomercial and sit and watch the whole thing instead of watching the show she was looking for :lmao:

She is also getting..a Wii, extra controller, and games and I've started to pick up zhu zhu pets  Wal-Mart, Target, those places still have them in stores here, I suspect after Thanksgiving that may change.

So what is a zhu zhu pet?? Seems like this and itouch are pretty popular.

Golf clubs. Naturally I don't know a thing about golf, so shopping should be interesting.

How good of a golfer is your child? If your child is an avid golfer I would just get him/her a gift certificate for clubs and have him/her fit for the right clubs at the golf shop. Everyone's swing is different. Even if your child is new to the game it is worth having them fit for a set--it doesn't mean they have to be expensive, just the right length, etc.

DS14 needs new golf clubs and I know quite a bit about golf clubs and this is what we will do for him.

DD14 wants a Coach purse and a digital camera

DS17--who knows but it will most likely be video games. We might end up getting him a laptop though since he is going off to college next fall. We need to check with the school he is going to on what they want them to have, etc. though. We might wait for this for a graduation present.
