DH brews his own craft beers. :drinking1

I read... a lot. And I've been knitting for the last 9 months or so... just getting into knitting socks.

So, what are your hobbies?

Is "Dising" considered a Hobby?????

I collect & refurbish Toys from the 50's thru 70's (although do too time contrints, havent done much in 2 years)

Also have a pretty nifty View Master collection.

Rubber stamping. I've done a little with polymer clay & would like to get into it more. I'd also like to start beading but don't want to get into that big time. And I love working outside on my garden & pond. Someday, when I have more room (away from the kitty cat) I'd like to finally put up my N gauge trains.

My MIL has been making handbags that she hand-knits and then hand-felts. She makes some really unique buttons for the handbags using polymer clay... just beautiful with colors that mix and match each bag.

I love to read--I've been unofficially named the patron with the most interesting reading list at our local library.:lmao: Our library is pretty small, so I end up getting a lot of things through inter-library loan. I interlibrary loan so much stuff, one of the staffers has my ph.# on speed dial.:lmao:

Scrapbooking

Do you use a Cricut? How does it work, do you get templates or diecuts that cut out certain shapes? I know the machine is expensive, are the diecuts expensive too? I guess if they are you'd have to buy ones that you think you'll use several times. Or trade them with someone else.

I don't have one. I have a Sizzix Sidekick and often I go to one of my local scrapbook stores for a crop and they have diecut machines there you can use.

I want a Wishblade so I can just download fonts and have it cut them out.

I do have a couple of friends with Cricuts and they love them. Many times you can get the carts on sale for $28. Not on sale they are around $80 I believe.

I'm very into comics and anything having to do with super heroes. Specifically DC comics.

I'm also very involved in our local and regional theatre scene. Although I don't know if that would be a hobby as I work for pay.

I have a Cricut, the large Cricut Expressions, and I hate it. I have a large Sizzix and a Sidekick and I like those so much better. I have a xyron to put adhesive on the paper before cutting and I can't use that with the Cricut which drives me insane.

You buy cartridges for the Cricut and gives you many different cut options on one cartridge.

Yes, I forgot to mention scrapbooking as a secondary hobby after complaining and procrastinating.

Isn't procrastinating part of scrapbooking?
;)

I have a whole closet full of craft supplies I've bought over the years, needlepoint, trapunto, quilling, rock polishing, I could go on & on. In my attic are copper teapots, baskets, wreaths & the dried flower to arrangement them in. I think that kind of went out of style about 15 years ago.

Between my sister & I, we could open our own craft store. Only thing is, we'd probably buy each others stuff.

My main hobby is toy collecting - mainly Fisher-Price toys like the Little People and wooden pull toys and wind-up music boxes. Love collecting them, displaying them, and going to rummage sales to find some more! I am also a member of a toy collecting club and I work on their website. I also love doing webpage work for my character site. Also like visiting lighthouses.

All fun stuff! :)

Also have a pretty nifty View Master collection.

:thumbsup2 Please tell me you saw the Hallmark ornament this year that was an exact replica of a View Master? It included three reels which actually worked. It was adorable.

My hobbies? Reading, decorating, and remodeling. I'm not happy unless there is sawdust flying in the air. However, now due to the ecomony, we've cut way back on the remodeling so my new hobby is whining about not remodeling. :sad2: ;)
