What are your favorite things at ak?

Seeing all the animal in the trails, and Safari. Tucker house restaurant. EE. Dinosaur!! Love AK

Looks like everyone pretty much has covered everything. So here are a few that haven't been mentioned. My kids love the drum kiosk at the to beginning of the walkway from Africa to Asia. They can spend 15 there banging the drums. Loved them so much we bought one last trip and had it shipped to our home.

We also like to see DiVine the vine lady.

Lunch at the Flame Tree in a pavilion down by the water.

And last but not least, Primeval Whirl (sad it will probably still be closed when I am there on 11/10, unless they reopen a couple days ahead of schedule). The lines are usually so short late in the day that we ride it about 4 times in a row without having to wait.

Oh yah the drums! My kids will love that. We have not been for almost 5
Years! With all the walls up I thought I might get disoriented and miss things. And as I said this is my first trip since 2007 where we won't have a baby/toddler schedule to manage.

Where is the best place to get some ac? More for the grandparents to get out of the hot for a few? I know the stores but then ....

We enjoyed Flights of wonder! We were seated in the first row up from the walkway (that separates the theater into upper & lower sections), and the kids were stretching their legs a bit prior to show time. An usher came over and warned my sister that she would want to hold her 1.5yr old DD when the hawk came out, implying it may scoop her up! We still crack up to this day. Most amusing warning I've ever heard!! You can be sure my sis had a death grip on her!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

When the kids were young, the boneyard was great.
We love Dinosaur! We also love Kali. Tough to be a bug is fun. DS loved EE. The trails are great. We never seem to have enough time for this park and we haven't seen Nemo or Lion King or Flights of Wonder.

For AC both Lion King and Nemo will work. Shops as you mentioned.

My favorites in that park are by far the walking trails and just going slowly through the park and really looking at everything. There is really a lot of detail if you take the time to look. I try to time it to catch some of the street shows, love the show in front of the shop just before safari and the show in Asia.

I second all the praise for FotLK, but I love Nemo, too. I think the music and the puppet work is just beautiful.

Since you mentioned that your parents have bad backs and can't do the Safari, I just wanted to advise you against Dinosaur. I actually LOVE Dinosaur, but it jerks and slings you around. It'd be rough on anyone with back problems, I think.

we like all the popular stuff there, but the one I think is most under-rated is the Finding Nemo show. I wans't sure how they'd put fish on a stage and low expectations - turned out to be really cool and one of my favorite things at AK!

The Safari
FOTLK
Nemo

I think the Lion King Show is the best Disney has to offer.
