What are your favorite Stocking Stuffers?

My boys age 4 & 7 will get this year in their stocking:
- Bakugan Starter kit
- Transformer toy
- Jigsaw Puzzle
- Assorted $1 toys: Mickey for DS4, Cars for DS7 (yoyo, coloring puzzle, harmonica, etc)
- Up Coloring book for DS7 and Kai Lan painting book for DS4
- Candy - Candy Canes, Christmas Packaged M&Ms and Spongebob, gold chocolate coins

Toys are wrapped - takes them longer to get through the stocking and uses up those odd shaped wrapping paper left overs :)

That should do it!

For DH I get his favorite candy (Mike & Ikes and the like) and gag gifts as I see them. in years past it was the fish game (wind up magnetic thing) or a rubix cube, 1 time it was classic Atari games. I wait to get to the store and get inspired.

Regarless -the stocking will always be a small fraction of what is under the tree. I say this now, but seeing the amount of cash/gift cards in older kids stockings scares me, lol.

Chocolate oranges from Trader Joes
ITunes gc (got the 5 pack at Costco)
Magazines that we don't ordinarily buy
books
socks
toothbrushes
chapstick
Resee cup candy canes

But our stockings are hard to fit much....which can be a good thing!!

BUT, my most favorite stocking this year is for the new baby-to-be. :cloud9: I will be 15 weeks pregnant on Christmas, and my kids still do not know. So I bought a new stocking that is not hanging yet, and it will be filled with baby toys, pacifiers, onesies, a "big brother" and a "big sister" bib, baby wash and lotion, etc. I cannot WAIT to see the kids' faces when they figure it all out!!!!![/QUOTE]

That is a great idea! Congratulations! What a wonderful Christmas gift!

my mom always puts a bottle of shower gel from bath and body works for the guys and face conditioner. I usually get shower gel and mentha lip stuff from bath and body. Socks, candy, and razors notepads. The kids get coloring books, crayons, stickers, socks, little books.

I posted this on another thread but here we go:

I'm still looking for some of the stuff but the goal is:

Middle DS 9 is getting motorola 2-way radios (walkie talkies as it were but small), a mini lego set, a bunch of lego people, some lindt chocolate truffle balls and mini reindeer, an iTunes GC and a Webkinz - oh and a headlamp.

Oh and rocks they're all getting rocks :lmao: Seriously, though they're getting break your own geodes - a set of 10 was $8.95

Plus they're getting Burt's Bees Chapstick with little holders from my grab bags.

The only thing I have to still pick up is a webkinz to put in the top of their stocking. But that I will get at the little candy/sweet shop in town that I adore!

I picked up some Santa pez dispensers. Now that was a blast from the past!

Here are a few items that I do for either my DH or DS11 that I don't think have been mentioned:

* gift certificate for a car wash
* big pack of AA batteries (huge hit)
* mechanical pencils and/or multipack colored Sharpies
* cash (my DH always makes it into some type of origami figure)
* Disney Gift Card (if we have a returning trip planned)
* Vitamin water, mini can of Pringles, protein bar, fruit leather (weird, but now a tradition)

I LOVE stockings. I spend more time and care on them than I do on the "real" gifts!

Us too
We only do 1-2 wrapped presents under the tree 1-2 presents from santa under the tree, and then we have the 4' tall stockings to fill :thumbsup2
Since they are so huge, I do filler stuff like boxes of favorite snack, hot chocolate, packages of socks....everything in the stocking gets wrapped - that was something I never heard of until I met DH, but now I love to do it.

As many people have said, we also do toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, lip balm.

Then I top it off with some fun stuff I find during the year and put away. My older son got a container with 4 different kinds of popcorn sprinkle on flavorings, my youngest got cupcake sprinkles in animal shapes, DVD's, autograph books for disney, books, etc

Stockings are our favorite thing to do as well.

Our kids get 1 or 2 presents under the tree from us/siblings, 1 or 2 things from Santa (the thing they most want) and then a stocking full of stuff including:

-toothbrush/toothpaste
-shampoo, bubble bath
- coloring book/felt pens
- a little bit of candy and chocolate
- snack bags of chips/cookies etc.
- fun drink
- orange
- books

for hubby I do basic things he needs: deoderant, shaving gel, razors, shampoo. I will put in some reese PB cups, socks, underwear. Im not one for fillers just because for adults.

the kids- mostly are all dollar items from either target or the dollar store..

I'm going to bump this up, if no one minds :goodvibes:

I got DBF a couple things already:
a wallet which will have a 7-11 gift card (he loves Slurpees!) and a Hannaford gift card (so he can buy his favorite stuff there like king crab legs lol).

a Goofy window cling (he loves Goofy!)

a deck of "Photo" playing cards I got from ArtsCow for $2.99

a Pedometer (since he is a runner)

I hope to include others things too, but we'll see.

I don't know what to put in his kids stockings though....going to look here for ideas

I usually get cute little things for my girls little lip glosses a gift card or two socks and little candies. Last year my husband and i did not gifts just anything that could fit in our stocking and we stuck to a price limit be creative and shop early there are really great deals now and lots of slection

I saw those giant 4 foot stockings at the 99 cent store yesterday. I would love to go back and get them but I'm afraid I won't be able to fill them without breaking the bank!! I have a few items all ready but how can I fill one of those inexpensively??

I was thinking of putting a playground ball in the bottom of each one and definitely wrapping each item. It will take up more space and we always wrap our stocking stuffers.

What else??

Right now I have:
DD 13- nailpolish gift set, tayor swift cd, candy, vinymations
DS 10- Hexbug, Vinylmation, candy
DH- lottery tickets, lifesavers, Burts Bees chapstick, razor refills

Maybe if I just hit the dollar store and buy big items to fill this thing??

I LOVE stockings. I spend more time and care on them than I do on the "real" gifts!

For DS7, he is getting mini lego sets, the Night at the Museum 2 DVD, candy, a pen I found that writes in invisible ink and has a blacklight attached, toothbrush/paste, and some of those Japanese eraser thingies.

DH is getting gift cards for Dunkin Donuts, some candy that is hard to find, toothbrush/paste and boxers.

I cannot WAIT to see the kids' faces when they figure it all out!!!!!
