Been to some of these, but want to try something new (not just the filet! lol).

Jiko?

CA Grill?

Yachtsman?

Citricos?

Y&Y?

Brown Derby?

Mama Melrose?

Thanks!

Jiko is on my to do list for our vow renewal next yr and the only ones I can answer are:

Mama Melrose: the chicken pippeta(sp?) pasta in a alfredo type sauce with chicken and veggies

CG: Spicy Kazan sushi roll..O.M.G!

Jiko: The appetizers are always better than the entrees IMO. I like the soups here. They change often, the best one I've ever had is a chanterelle pumpkin seed soup. If I do get an entree, I prefer the braised short ribs but I normally just get a soup and share appetizers with others. They have always been willing to do an appetizer sampler that comes with a little bit of most of their offerings and we usually get that for the table.

Ca Grill: sushi. Any of the sushi. I am partial to yellowfin or tuna nigiri. I'm not a huge fan of rolls that have all of the added stuff. I have never had an entree I liked here (they overcook the meat) so now I stick to sushi and side salad and I'm always happy with that. Their sushi is definitely some of the best I've had.

Yachtsman: I'm not a huge steak eater and if I do order steak, I prefer to get something other than a filet. However, I've been extremely disappointed with the New York and ribeye served here. The last few times I have ordered the filet and it's been fine. To me, the best things at Yachtsman are the bread and the desserts. The bread is very very good. I also like the black and blue tartare appetizer.

Citricos: All of the appetizers and entrees that I've had here have been good. The best thing I ever had here was a goat cheese salad that is no longer on the menu. I usually order whatever their current fish dish is. I don't think their desserts are great.

Yak and Yeti: This restaurant, after 2 visits, ranks in our current bottom 3 at WDW. I haven't had anything I'd recommend (PF Changs does many of the same dishes much better). I would recommend not ordering the pho is you are a fan of it as Yak's version does not resemble anything authentic.

Brown Derby: My favorite thing, the seared ahi, is no longer on the menu. The current fish dish, grouper, is still nice but not as good as the ahi was. The day scallop appetizer is good but it used to be better when they served it with pork belly. My husband loves the cobb salad but I do not.

Mama Melrose: No recommendations. If I want Italian, I go to Il Mulino at the Swan as it is much better. We have not dined at MM recently.

Mama Melrose - the Charred Sirloin Steak is pretty darn good as well as the sides with it.

Jiko? Love the salad appies

CA Grill? I had these amazing artichoke raviolis in May, they were to die for

Yachtsman? NY Strip

Citricos? Short ribs

Y&Y? Ribs

Jiko? haven't eaten there yet

CA Grill? spicy kazan roll and the pork tenderloin

Yachtsman? haven't eaten there yet

Citricos? love love love the feta cheese/shrimp app and the crab cake app. for main love the pork two ways

Y&Y? i had the bourbon chicken and it was good

Brown Derby? haven't eaten there yet

Mama Melrose? i had the penne alla vodka. it was just ok. it's like eating at an olive garden. because the options for dhs are limited we've eaten there mainly when we go with less adventurous eaters otherwise we skip it.

Jiko? I ordered the filet here, too, but the Seared Barbarie Duck Breast looks good on the menu. Also, I have always loved their appetizers.

CA Grill? Appetizers & Sushi

Yachtsman? Haven't tried this one yet!

Citricos? Pan Seared Red Snapper (w/ scallops and rock shrimp)

Y&Y? Crispy Mahi Mahi

Brown Derby? Tuna Tartare (but it is just an appetizer, now, and it is not as good as the Ahi Tuna from several years earlier). I do like the Cobb Salad. In 2002, we actually had a Cobb Salad served with the Ahi Tuna and a wasabi type dressing. It was so good--I miss that dish. The last couple of times, we have been disappointed at Brown Derby. It used to be so good, maybe we have just been on off nights.

Mama Melrose? Wood Grilled Tuna (really GOOD)

Thanks!

Jiko - I like the appetizers. I could make a meal just of the friendship bread and their first course menu. There's usually at least one flatbread on the menu worth trying, and I've liked every appetizer I've ever tried there. They also usually have a good lamb entrée. I didn't care at all for the shrimp curry the last time we had dinner there, but that was the only thing I've ever had at Jiko that I didn't like. The newish Amarula crème brûlée on the dessert menu is wonderful.

CA Grill - Again, I like their first course menu. Have a flatbread, a Spicy Kazan roll from the sushi menu, or one or two things from the appetizers menu. Try whatever seasonal desserts they offer because their pastry chef is awesome.

Yachtsman - From the appetizers menu, the Maine diver scallops, the lobster bisque and their seasonal salads are all great. I've actually never had a steak there, but I have tried my partner's rib-eye and it was great.

Y&Y - Again, appetizers! Are you noticing a theme here? The pot stickers, the seared Ahi tuna, the wonton soup and the dim sum basket for two (which includes the aforementioned pot stickers) are all good. My favorite is the cha su bao in the dim sum basket.

Brown Derby - The menu here has changed a lot since the last time we dined there, but I still fully endorse the grapefruit cake and the crème brûlée. In fact, I think I'd like to visit the restaurant just for those desserts and their martini flight.

Mama Melrose - I can't recommend anything at Mama Melrose. I think it's the worst Italian food in Disney World.

Of these I've only been to Yak&Yeti, and it is one of my favourites. I've had the steak and shrimp every time.
