What are your antisocial traits?

Telling people I get off an hour and a half later than I actually do so that when they try to make plans, I have a buffer.

When my best friend and I were first getting to know each other, I did this. And after six months or so, we were making plans for a Friday night and I said, "oh I get off at ___." She said, "I thought you got off at ___?" And I had to admit that I always lie about when I get off because if you tell people "I get off at 5" they want to make plans for 5:30, and most people I need a buffer where I can go home and relax and recharge my social battery. She is the exception to this rule because we are like peas in a pod, I know that she is effortless to be around, so she is one of the only people I don't need a recharge before hanging out with.

What are your antisocial traits?

I'm the opposite extreme (I prefer go to bed at 9:00) but it has the same result - my schedule is off from "average".

But my biggest anti-social trait is not liking to talk on the phone!

Me too....I hate talking on the phone.
And I go to bed at 9.........and up at 4:30-5:00

I hate talking on the phone too.
Dont mind being by myself, eating by myself in a restaurant.
Hate most parties and large family gatherings.
Hate having to make small talk in an elevator, or standing in a line anywhere.
Not interested in having hundreds of Facebook “friends.”

I don’t like going to parties.

My family and friends know better than to even invite me to a party. The only ones I'll go to I have no choice because they're in our finished basement. Even then, I escape as soon as I get my food.

I don’t like going to parties.

Same here. I'm much better with small groups of people. But at work, I'm known for skipping out on every single happy hour because I feel very socially awkward in that sort of situation and, also, because once my work day is over, I don't want to hang out with my coworkers.

I'm that friend that people quit asking to do things because, I just don't want to go. Someone bought me a shirt for Christmas this year that says, "I'm sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come." lol

I’ve also never have been a big phone talker, even as a teenager. I’m a VERY social person, but talking on the phone is just something I don’t like doing - takes up to much time when I have many other things to do.

I'm not a phone person. I much prefer texts.
I hate talking on the phone. I hate gabbing. The phone is a tool, "Hey I'm running to the store, need anything?" "Hey, I'm going to stop over..."

My mother is the only one who calls me. She's one that once on the phone you can't get rid of her. At 8 pm she tells me, "Well, my shows are starting so I'll let you go... Did I tell you about..."someone I don't know, will never know, and don't care about. With the first "I'm going to let you go..." I know I have another hour or longer of trying to get off the phone with her short of just hanging up on her.

The last thing I want to do with my limited few hours in the evening is to sit with a phone held to my face listening to the same stories of the same people that I don't know.
