I fall into the first category. My MFs are just under $300. I treated myself to a small resale contract for my 25th birthday/celebrate my first full-time job. I cannot wait to continue adding on and racking up on my MFs : )

Wow..I must have not been paying attention last year...how many points came with the DVC? That is awesome that you won...DH has been entering contests left and right!! LOL!

Whew! I'm so glad I read this thread. We just did an add-on, and I was bemoaning how much our dues will be now, I figure about $1700/year (come to think of it, that's starting next year, the sellers to us are paying the 2009 dues on the add-on). But now, reading some of these numbers, 2-3 thousand dollars for some people, I feel pretty relieved. Thanks for asking this question-it certainly helped me feel not as bad! One question though-for the exact amount, do we have to go on-line or will we get something in the mail from DVC? And is there a thread somewhere saying exactly what the annual dues are at the different resorts? Clueless us-we don't even know that.

You can check online....your add-on may not be there yet. If the dues for 2009 are paid at settlement, you won't see a figure until next year. Member accounting can give you an exact amount, for budgetary means anyway! Congrats on that add-on. I know you've been wanting that one for a while!!
