could have got 129 at por, did not book it and a few days later sold out of aaa rates. that was for nov 11/13. they only block so many rooms and when they are sold out you have to keep checking. now paying 149 plus tax those nights
We are staying at POP from 12/02/05 to 12/10/05 and received an AAA rate of $61.00. Mods were available for $107.00 for that time frame. Was also able to purchase the dining plan with these rates, but any AAA package must be booked by TA.
I was able to get POFQ first week of December for $107 + tax. Another note to add to the limited number of rooms is you can only book a max of 10 nights.
We booked CSR in a king room only during Value Season for $119+tax/night. Over the course of a 6 nite stay, that adds up to a savings of about $200 with the taxes added in. So, the $60 AAA annual membership is definately worth it. Maggie
Last week I booked a AAA package and I was very happy with the bottom line. It's for 9 nights, January 21-30, at ASMovies, 10 park days with hopper option, for 2 adults, 2 kids under 10 - and the total was $1504.
I booked a package through CAA (Canadian aaa) staying for 5 nights at the GF Nov 28-Dec 3 with tickets (and hopping) and the dining plan for 3 adults and 1 junior (age 11) and save about $300 US by using the discount.
I just booked the WL in a Lodge View room for $222.54 for the week of February 11, 2006. Not a bad savings and totally worth the money spent on the membership.
I would suggest finding out what the AAA rate for your desired hotel and dates is prior to joining AAA just to make sure they are even offering a discount for what you want. I researched prior to joining AAA and found that they were offering 10% off rooms at Poly for my requested time period - 12/14 - 12/18/05. I needed two rooms so the $45 membership fee was totally worth it as I ended up saving over $300.
I have a king bed room at CSR for $140/night Nov 11-20 (rack rate is $165)...while $25 discount/night is not much compared to the general codes offered by Disney the past 2 years, I was glad to get anything since Disney isn't offering discounts they way they used to!
Just booked POR for 1 night(Nov 10th) following our DCL cruise. We got a AAA rate of $129...and had 128 points on my Disney Visa rewards card! So...I in fact got it for $1 plus tax!
Are you able to get a discount on a package(w/dining?).
Is the basic membership active immediately or do I need to wait a week to book (thought I heard something about that)? I was interested in only the basic membership for the travel benifits as I dont need the roadside assistance etc...
You can go to the AAA website and get a qoute for the package with dining. I thought there was a discount, but I priced both the AAA package and disney package with the same exact things and the price was almost exactly the same. Disney was cheaper by 25 cents.
I also noticed that there was an area that asked if you were a AAA member or not, so I guess you could get a quote even if you aren't a member to see what the price would be.
