What are your 10 worst restaurants at WDW?

My ten worse in no particular order would be Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, Tonys Town Square, and Tonys Town Square.:scared:

I understand entirely.

Spoodles - average food for DH, mediocre for me, my kids couldn't touch the pizza. Terrible service, gave me a :headache: !
Ohana's Breakfast - Overpriced. Not even worth paying for the character interaction. Did it last year and even my kids didn't want to return this year.

1) Whispering Canyon Cafe-Dinner
2) Whispering Canyon Cafe-Dinner(was stupid enough to give it a second chance) Dessert was good!
3) CS at Epcot in Mexico
4) Cassey's at MK- Yuck!
5) Chef Mickey's-Breakfast

1) Tony's Town Square
2) ABC Commissary
3) Pacos Bills
4) Pinocchio's Village Haus (Bad Pizza)
5) All counter service

I thought the CS place in Mexico was bland and I hated that CS place with the alien who sings... can't think of the name right now. The food was good and plentiful, but everything else was a pain including being forced to either all eat the same type of food or stand in three different lines. They only have tables for four and chairs cant be moved, so if you are a family of 5 I guess you make the least loved member sit alone. :rotfl: They also messed up our order twice. It was so loud we couldn't hear most of the alien's banter and we were sitting very close to him. That place could be very cool if they would change the seating and ordering; he kids loved the alien and even the adults thought it was amusing.

The only place I have ever had a truly horrible experience was at Kona. I know most people love it but the service and food were TERRIBLE! DBFF and I were there last September and we didn't even get our meals! We ordered after nearly 25 mins. of being ignored. I ordered a burger, well done and when it came out about 45 mins. later (and after being taken to 2 wrong tables) there was blood on the plate! I don't even remember what DBFF ordered, but she was brought two wrong entrees! The second one of which she was asked if she would just take that instead of what she ordered! At this point I was waiting for my meal to be re-cooked and it had been almost another half hour! The people sitting at the table next to us had the same things happening to them and had been waiting so long the husband actually fell asleep at the table! I finally approached the woman at the podium for the manager. He offered us our meal for free, but we declined saying we had run out of time. We took the monorail back to MK and ate at Cosmic Rays instead!

1. The Breakfest buffet at the Grand flordian(sorry forgot the name):rotfl:
2. Yak and Yetie
We love just about all the foods at the parks and Downtown. It really comes down to maybe a dish here and a dish there that we did not care for.

We only have two "never again" WDW TS places (they were both character dinners). We will not return to:

1. Liberty Tree Tavern
2. Garden Grill

Every other place we tried, we enjoyed, even all of the CS places! :goodvibes

I would argue that the infinite combination of variables as well as the complete subjectiveness of the question would render the results meaningless and thus there is no real test. But still fun if for nothing more than entertainment purposes.

Ditto. :thumbsup2

San Angel Inn (sitting next to the kitchen killed it)
Sci-Fi
Chefs de France
Teppan Edo
Rainforest Cafe
Planet Hollywood
Concord Steakhouse (we're glad it doesn't exist anymore!):scared:

Those are probably my least favorite experiences - however I would try the Epcot restaurants again just to see if it was that particular meal or not.

Honorable Mention

Alfredo's - that place was sooooo bad thank goodness they closed it - anything would be better than it was :scared:

We absolutely had one of our favorite meals at Alfredos and were sad they closed. The fetuccini alfredo was AMAZING!!! In fact we want to go to their restaurant in NYC just to have some more.

Only once did I have nasty meal at WDW. It was at Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot. I ordered Veggie Lasagna. I was old, dried out and the eggplant in the lasagna was BITTER!!!:scared1: Needless to say, after one or two bits, I pitched it. Other than that, I have always been happy with the food & service at the restaurants.

DH only had one bad experience. That was the Norway Buffet (before it was the Princess buffet). He didn't care for the food. I don't think it was the quality, it just wasn't a good choice for a seafood hater! Personally, I loved the place!:woohoo:

1st trip to WDW in October. Here is a prediction from worst to best, not counting CS, based upon everybody's lists.

1. Sci-Fi - Lunch;
2. Akershus - Lunch;
3. LTT - Dinner;
4. Coral Reef - Dinner;
5. Bomas-Dinner.

Rainforest Cafe
Planet Hollywood
Hollywood & Vine
Sci-Fi Dine-In
and anyplace that has that bad Disney pizza - yuck

For me:

Hollywood and Vine - we ate there twice. First time, food was OK, service was HORRIBLE :sad2: . Second time, food OK, service borderline and seating arrangements were HORRIBLE :sad2: - no room at all to manuever in and out of our seats and none of us are Pooh sized.

Garden Grill - none of us really like the food for dinner

Hollywood and vine was the WORST!! YUCK!!! the buffet :eek:
BUT the WORST EVER service and food was Rain forest cafe at Animal Kingdom and we were soooo excited to take our kids here.. cool place but OH GROSS!!!!! We loved the service and great time we had at whispering canyon and to be fair my hubby the carnivore loved his food but for the vegetarians in the group ummm enjoy your expensive corn and potatoes! LOL

Right, time for my two cents... from worst to not as terrible:

1. Restaurant Marrakesh - I know some people have said that once the ideas behind the food were explained to them by a cast member they appreciated it more. But I'm not such a nice person as that and I feel that if you've got to give me a philosophy about your food in order for me to be able to tolerate it, then I'm just not going to eat your food. :lmao: Especially when Tangerine Cafe is :love: amazingly good. I'll never understand that one.

2. Portobello Yacht Club - This one gets a worst from me because of the service I got while I was there. I know it could have just been an off night, but the food wasn't fantastic enough for me to bother giving this place a second chance when I've got other restaurants on the list that are sure things. Plus, there's just not that many restaurants at Disney I don't like! I'm clutching at straws! :rotfl:

3. Nine Dragons - Here's where we get into the 'meh' category. Nine Dragons isn't bad, it just isn't great either. I could get the same food from my local take away place, only it would be a whole heck of a lot cheaper.

4. Plaza Restaurant - Once again, just not great. Boring, average food with the downside of being an uncomfortably small location.

5. Rose and Crown - It's pub food. I'm lucky enough that if I want pub grub I can get it around the corner. And my local doesn't smell like old Play-Doh. (I don't know if anybody else has noticed that distinctive aroma in there, but trust me on this one. :snooty: )

6. Mama Melrose - I went once, I wouldn't go again unless somebody I was with really wanted to go. Another place that just serves average food.

7. Any CS location at AK - :lmao: I know, blanket statements are bad, but I just don't like anything they serve there. This is entirely a matter of personal taste.

8. Any CS location at MGM, er DS - Come on, you knew this was coming. :laughing: I don't like pizza, so that takes away the only edible CS food at DS and leaves me walking happily over to the Yacht and Beach Club for some Beaches and Cream. Yum. :cutie:

9. Sunshine Seasons and Electric Umbrella at Epcot - I just can't find anything to strike my fancy at either place. Sunshine Seasons seems to try too hard to be exotic while Electric Umbrella threw in the towel a long time ago and decided to offer the most basic of 'American' fast food. No thanks, Mexico's just a few steps away!

10. California Grill - :scared1: :scared1: I know, wait while I justify this... I'd probably go back without any fuss. I just happen to have had a really terrible experience at CG because I became really really ill during my meal and had to leave. It wasn't CG's fault, it wasn't anybody's fault, I just feel a little queezy when I think about it. :sick:

And that's me done. Whew! That wasn't easy. I'm much better at the places I like! :goodvibes :hippie: pirate:
