I am working my way through Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond for my History of Technology class.
Some parts are really interesting and some really drag.

Currently reading Deadlock by Iris Johannsen. I swear that this one seems very similar to an old one of hers "the Ugly Duckling"

Savannah Blues by Mary Kay Andrews. Very good read. I've been reading a lot of books set in the south... it keeps me holding on hope that I will get down there soon enough-I despise Northern VA and can't wait to move far far away.

I enjoy Mary Kay Andrews- Hissy Fit,The Fixer-Upper: A Novel, Deep Dish, Savannah Blues, Savannah Breeze,Blue Christmas and Little Bitty Lies are all on my Kindle! There is something familiar about them due to the location is similiar to my area here in NC.:thumbsup2

Still reading The Shack. Not what I expected in the least. Can't say I'm loving it, but I'll continue & finish it. It has an interesting perspective.
I read about 10 pages and said, "Forget it."

I just finished Still Alice... forget the author, too lazy to look it up! I REALLY liked it!

Getting ready to start The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

I just couldn't read it either. My DH recommended it highly to me but it was too heart wrenching for me.

Loved Still Alice!

Which one, Still Alice or The Road?

Finished Just Breathe by Susan Wiggs this morning. I enjoyed this book and would pass it on to a friend.

Now to begin The Shadow Rising, Book Four of The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.

Any other fantasy readers out there?

Just finished "The Bluest Eye". When I had to read it in college it was just ok...now as an adult it was so much more than I remember.

I finished Main Street by Sinclair Lewis and I've started The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan.

I just finished Snow Flower and The Secret Fan by Lisa See. I liked it..didn't love it. I just started "My Delicious Life With Paula" written by Paula Deens husband Michael....Interesting but definately not a ' can't put it down' book.

I'm picking up Worst Case by James Patterson today at the library. I can't wait to read it!

I just finished Under the Dome by Stephen King; it kept me going, I did enjoy it albeit freaked out. ;)

I've started the The Lightning Thief.:)

I just finished Under the Dome on Friday, whew that was a long haul for me! I really liked the book, I'm a sap and did great until the last little bit of the book then I started tearing up, my DD kept asking me why I was crying lol. I didn't want the story to end, I hoped they would continue on with Barbie's story.

I started I, Alex Cross last night. I'm almost finished with it, about 100 pages to go. It's really good, I highly recommend it.

Loved The Help. Just finished it. Committed is pretty good as well. Shutter Island is up next. The Road is beautiful!

So it wasn't just me! The dogs and children got to me and if I had been packing heat Junior and his dad would have been in the pantry.:scared1:

No it definitely wasn't just you! I was keeping my roommate informed about the craziness of Chester's Mill and she was very much into it, she said it was like a soap opera that you can't stop watching lol. The whole time I'm going "just go Rambo on their a**es Barbie!" I was hoping that he and Julia would have taken care of Big Jim and Junior long before things got so out of hand. And I would have gladly helped lock both of them in the pantry!
