I loved The Book Thief!I picked up The Book Thief at the library last night. The librarian gushed over what a good book it is. With her recommendation and yours, I happily will begin to read it today.
This one is on my shelf to read. Hopefully, it will be a good one. It sounds good, so we'll see, I guess!Has anyone read The Shack? My sister in law and Grandma gushed about it so I downloaded it to my Kindle. I have read about 10 pages and so far not really into it yet.
I need a quick, easy read for the gym. I have to read a ton for school, so I can't devote too much time to leisure reading other than 45 minutes a few days a week. What do you think?

What about a mystery series. Joanne Fluke has fun mysteries that are light and easy to read.
I picked it up for 50 cents at our local thrift store. I thought "What a find!". But I couldn't get into it either. Winded up not finishing it. At least I didn't pay much for it.Has anyone read The Shack? My sister in law and Grandma gushed about it so I downloaded it to my Kindle. I'm hung up on the 4th book, Rapture In Death. I can't find it and I'm bound and determined to read them all in order! Guess I'll have to give in and buy it online.I'm plodding along with the 3rd death installment, Innocent in Death, by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts). It's a good book, suspenseful, grim. I haven't had much time lately to wrap it up!

I'm also perusing, Hungry Girl's Cookbook of Snacks/Meals for 200 cals or Less. I've been scanning cook books a lot lately. That's where my extra time has gone.![]()
I've been checking out cookbooks, too. Let me know if this is a good one. Thanks.
I spent some time with the book, the title is: Hungry Girl 200 under 200, 200 recipes under 200 calories. I recommend it already!!! Lots of great recipes, tips, and product recommendations. I'm excited!!
There are some recipes that I'm not wild about using tofu crumbles, but I could modify those with a lean meat and still be okay. I think.
Some recipes I want to try:
1."Swirls gone wild", cheesecake brownies (133 calories, 1.75 g fat)
2. Crazy Calypso Salad (spinach leaves, cooked shrimp, chopped mango, avocado -- dressing: rice vinegar, lime juice, no cal-sweetener packet, a smidge of cayenne pepper) sounds yummy! 2 c servings, 174 cals. 5 g fat)
3. So Low Mein with Chicken 167 cals. 1.5 g fat
4. Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Cups
5. Crazy-Good Coconut Chicken Taco (I'm really curious about that one!)
6. BBQ Mango Tilapia
7. Scoopable Chinese Chicken Salad
8. Fiber-ific fried cheese sticks (4 pieces): 155 cals, 5.5 g fat. It uses light mozzarella string cheese, Fiber One bran cereal, fat free egg whites, etc.. (Baked).
So many recipes! The author calls some of the recipes, "mini meals". Low calorie side dishes (and dessert) would really round some of these out!
I want to cut down the calories but not the flavor. So I'm going to try some of these out.
I read, The Book of Ruth. It's heavy but I thought it was done well.
