What Are You Reading Right Now?

I am currently re-reading ''Are You There Vodka, it's me , Chelsea'' by Chelsea Handler. I love this book so much and whenever I need a really good laugh I read it.

I am re-reading Angry Housewives Eating Bon-Bons, after that I may read Standing in a Rainbow by Fanny Flagg, Little Women by Alcott or Vanity Fair by Thackery. I also have been reading bits and pieces of Bulfinch's Mythology for kicks.

Then you must read The Help. That was also a nerve striker, and needs discussion. I lent it to a co-worker, and she's still bothered by it. I also lent her my Mudbound, and that will affect her as well.

I am reading The Help right now and cannot put it down. It's moved me on so many levels, especially because I was a little girl growing up in the south in 1960s. As soon as I've finished it, I'm passing it on to my sister so I can discuss it with someone. I've now just added Mudbound to my 'to read' list.

Looks like I can add another one to my list. :goodvibes

I just started the Rapture of Canaan. It's okay. Recently finished Skeletons at the Feast by Chris Bohjalian. It's heartwrenching, but I loved it so I picked up Double Bind by Chris and can't wait to start it.

The best book I read this year. I have it on my Kindle and I just bought a hardcover to give for Christmas, but I may keep it for myself to write notes in.

I read, scanned through, Jamie's Food Revolution. It was an interesting take on a cookbook. Some recipes looked interesting. I think I'll give a few a try. :)

I've seen it before but always wondered: what is it about?

Right now I'm reading the 2nd book in the Outlander series, which was recommended from several people here on the DIS. Good books, and I'm enjoying the read.

I'm reading those too! I have read 1 - 4 but now I have 6 or 7 (the newest one) so I'm starting over.

I've also just bought The Blind Side, I want to read the book before I go see the movie.
And for fun, Confessions of the Slacker Mom.
This one along with $300 worth of other books were stolen out of our car in St Louis so I've been slowly repurchasing. DS13 was ticked, they stole all his summer reading. Thankfully the teachers cut him some slack and let him read other things instead. I found it almost comical that instead of getting $1000's of dollars worth of tools and what not in the trailer, they got books. Maybe the little thieves will learn something.

I'm reading "Narcissus in Chains" the 10th book in the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton

I am reading an ARC of Hunter's Moon. So far it reminds me of my grandpa telling me a story. Not always a good thing.

i'm reading 4 books simultaneously:

"michael jackson: the magic, the madness, the whole story" by j. randy taraborrelli

"under the dome" by stephen king (got it for $9 on amazon!)

"christmas memories: gifts, activities, fads and fancies, 1920s - 1960s" by susan waggoner

Great deal on Under the Dome. I paid $19.99 at Costco.

I am reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Seabold. It is really good so far.
Also, to suzimar57, is that christmas memories book good. I love that time period and I love christmas so it seems like I would love that book.

I finished FOUL PLAY by Janet Evanovich and DIVINE JUSTICE by David Baldacci.

Divine Justice was EXCELLENT! Foul Play was HILARIOUS!!

I have nothing to read right now, but I'm listening to THE ROCKY ROAD TO ROMANCE by Evanovich. I'm going to pick up a couple more of her books tomorrow.
