I am currently re-reading ''Are You There Vodka, it's me , Chelsea'' by Chelsea Handler. I love this book so much and whenever I need a really good laugh I read it.
Then you must read The Help. That was also a nerve striker, and needs discussion. I lent it to a co-worker, and she's still bothered by it. I also lent her my Mudbound, and that will affect her as well.
Looks like I can add another one to my list.I am reading The Help right now and cannot put it down. It's moved me on so many levels, especially because I was a little girl growing up in the south in 1960s. As soon as I've finished it, I'm passing it on to my sister so I can discuss it with someone. I've now just added Mudbound to my 'to read' list.

Right now I'm reading the 2nd book in the Outlander series, which was recommended from several people here on the DIS. Good books, and I'm enjoying the read.
i'm reading 4 books simultaneously:
"michael jackson: the magic, the madness, the whole story" by j. randy taraborrelli
"under the dome" by stephen king (got it for $9 on amazon!)
"christmas memories: gifts, activities, fads and fancies, 1920s - 1960s" by susan waggoner
"i love macarons" by hisako ogita (gorgeous photos!!!!)
I started a DIS Book Club Discussion thread for Mudbound. You can find it at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=34324416#post34324416 to join in the discussion.
I also put The Help into my queue at the library. I'm number 23 in line for the large print version. The regular print had 66 people in line, so I opted for the large print.
