I just finished "The Tipping Point"by Malcolm Gladwell. It was interesting for a change from my usual fluff stuff. Now I've started "Feels Like Family" by Sherryl Woods. Ahh, fluff-80 pages into it and I already know who'll end up with whom.

I'm reading Raj: The Making and Unmaking of British India by Lawrence James. It is a fascinating study of the British colonial period. Very thorough and well-researched.

I'm reading two books:

The Missing Manual for Mac OS X Leopard by David Pogue

World Without End by Ken Follett

Just finished Twilight. Don't have New Moon yet- hopefully I'll pick it up this weekend.

Pet Peeve by Piers Anthony. I love Xanth!

I did something stupid.... I started reading the following books alll at the same time:

- Spook by Mary Roach
- The Kite Runner
- Tell Me Where it hurts
- The Selfish Gene

I really shouldn't have done that.... I need to pick one and finish but I think I'm in a reading rut.

I'm reading Out to Cannan. It's the 4th book in the Mitford series.

Trying to break out of my Jody Picoult rut. They were starting to run together.

I just finished Friday Night Knitting Club. I did enjoy it, but the previous poster was right about the end feeling rushed. It's like the author was trying to wrap everything up in a nice neat package.

I also just finished Can't Wait to Get to Heaven. Pretty light read by Fannie Flagg. I liked her down-home characters & humor and will probably search out more of her work. It was a good change of pace from Picoult.

Next up, probably The Book Thief. I may also have to pick up one of David Sedaris' based on the reviews here. I think he's supposed to be in town for a signing / reading this week.

the mouse machine: disney and technology by j.p. telotte

mama for president: good lord, why not? by thelma harper

swine not? a novel pig tale by jimmy buffett

I just finished The Quickie by James Patterson. Now I'm back to Harry Potter again just to have something to read until I get back to the library.

Have read everyone of her books...she is an amazing writer!
I read The Other Boleyn Girl & wondered how her other books stood up to that. I enjoyed that & keep thinking I should try another one.

I can't do that. I can only do one book at a time. I need to completely finish before I can even think about which one I will pick up next.

I really enjoyed this book. It was on DIS recommendations that I got it. One of my DD's is reading it now & really enjoying it also.

DD and I are reading book 3 of the Percy Jackson series, The Titan's Curse. DD really likes these books- they are in the fantasy/action/comedy vein.

I just finished Eclipse and am patiently waiting for Breaking Dawn to come out. I am also almost finished with From Dead To Worse, the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel by Charlaine Harris.

If there are any adult Twilight fans out there that haven't heard of the Sookie Stackhouse books, give them a look. There are about 7 or 8 now, and they are about a human woman (who happens to be telepathic) and her interaction with the non-human residents of Louisiana, including vampires, shapeshifters, Weres, and Fairies. She has realtionships with several different species, all of them sexy and handsome males.

Jen, I too am working on the Twilight series (I'm trying to stretch it out!) and I tried the first Sookie Stackhouse book and loved it. It was very funny but also had a good mystery. Someone at the beginning of the Twilight thread had recommended that series. I love books about Southern women. I think I'm a wannabe ;)
