I Love anything by James Patterson. Ok I take that back...I don't like his weird science fictiony stuff, but his mysteries, The Women's Murder Club and Alex Cross novels are great. He writes really short chapters which for some reason makes me read thru the book faster too! I just really enjoy his writing.

I just finished re-reading The Tale of Despereaux which is a really wonderful story.

Tonight I started Three Cups of Tea which has started out interesting. I'm not sure if I'll get into as much as everyone at work says I will, but I'm willing to give it a try.

I just finished "Dark Side of the Moon" by John Sanford - good book.

I'm just starting "American Wife" by Curtis Sittenfield.....

Also reading "Catholicism for Dummies" on the side...haha

Jenny:)

several books at once:

dollhouse & furniture advertising 1880s - 1980s (dian zillner)

please send money: a financial survival guide for young adults on their own (dara duguay)

christmas sucks: what to do when fruitcake, family and finding the perfect gift make you miserable (joanne kimes)

hurry less, worry less at christmastime: having the holiday season you long for (judy pace christie)

i hate christmas: a manifesto for the modern-day scrooge (daniel blythe)

scared of santa: scenes of terror in toyland (denise joyce and nancy watkins)

:) Ok, I have to admit, I just had to look these titles up!
Either you have some interesting required reading to do or you are a very good book finding resource person!!
I'm glad to see my holiday issues do not stand alone in this crazy world of holidays enough for many to write books about it. I'm on my way to the library...thank you! You perhaps saved my friends their ears from some friend to friend therapy! :upsidedow

I just finished "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks. I liked the book, but the ending.....
I'm currently reading "Extreme Measures" by Vince Flynn. His current novel is a real page turner. I just started it and already I'm halfway through it.

We just picked up his latest yesterday. DH got ahold of it before I could. I think DS16 will get it next. Vince lives in the neighboring town and is frequently seen at our local bookstore :thumbsup2 .

My girls Christmas lists - over and over again, because they keep changing it:laughing:

In all seriousness - I'm trying to get through the entire Chronicles of Narnia books. I have read the first 5 and I have 2 more to go. The last one I read was The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I need to go get the next book at the library this week.

It's been so interesting to see how the movies and the books have their similiarities, and also their differences. It also was interesting to read in one of the books where the wardrobe came from in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I've really enjoyed these books, and they are an easy read, since they are intended for children.

I've never read a book by Vince Flynn. What kind of books does he write?

You can always count on Vince Flynn to produce a page-turner. Enjoy!

This is from his website:
"Vince Flynn's thrillers, featuring counter-terrorism operative Mitch Rapp, dominate the imagination of readers everywhere. In them, Flynn captures the secretive world of the fearless men and women, who, bound by duty, risk their lives in a covert war they must hide from even their own political leaders."

I just finished the Time Travelers Wife. What a sweet book. Got it off this thread. This is a book I will read again which I have only 3 books that I will reread over and over. I'll wait awhile though because there are so many other books I want to read! Another book I got off this thread was Lost and Found. That was good too.

I'll jump in because I LOVE to read. Right now I am reading "The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood."

I saw someone was reading the new Dean Koontz book, "Darkest Day of the Year." I just finished that, how did you like it?

I am re-reading Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. Right now I'm on Dragonfly in Amber. When I'm finished with it, I'll have to put her series aside for a while because I have some library books to tackle before they are due. Too many books, too little time! :)

I LOVE her Outlander series. They are wonderful to reread and I'm in love with Jamie!

I'mnot reading Liseys Story by Stephen King BUT I just read The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein :worship: and it is a MUST READ on my list... amazing book!!!
