I picked up "Then Comes Marriage" at the library last week. It's a novella by Angela Elwell Hunt and Bill Myers. So far, it's entertaining. I'll probably finish it when I'm on the elliptical tomorrow.

I finished Charlaine Harris' Shakespeare novels yesterday. I've got the Harper Connelly series in my library queue.

Next on my reading agenda is "The Dracula Dossier."

I'm reading "Against Medical Advice" by James Patterson & Hal Friedman. It's non-fiction, about Friedman's son's long battle with Tourette's syndrome. It's fascinating, insightful, and very moving. Told from the point of view of the son, who literally woke up one day as a 5-year-old with "twitches," and it escalated from there. He talks about the unstoppable urge to twitch, what goes on in his mind as it's happening, etc. I'm only about halfway in. It's good.

I am reading Salvation In Death by J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts). I LOVE :lovestruc this series (I'm sure any fan can tell from my screenname).

Oh, that sounds really good. I'm definitely going to look that one up. :thumbsup2

I'll jump in because I LOVE to read. Right now I am reading "The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood."

I saw someone was reading the new Dean Koontz book, "Darkest Day of the Year." I just finished that, how did you like it?

I read that book and really enjoyed it. :) I just finished, Firefly Lane. If you like, The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, you'll love this one too. It too is about girlfriends and bonding. I finished Firefly Lane at midnight. I was crying like a baby. I'm glad it was so late and no one saw me. I would've been forever teased about it! I found myself crying quite a few times in this book. The story really pulls at your heartstrings but is uplifting all the same. I loved this book!

I'm going to start, Three to Get Deadly, by Janet Evanovich (sp?) today.

Who is the author of Firefly Lane? I've never read "Ya Ya". Maybe I'll give that one a try.

Has anyone read The Ten Year Nap by Meg Wolitzer? I am having a hard time getting into it and am wondering if I should just give it up or hang tough because it will get better.

I'mnot reading Liseys Story by Stephen King BUT I just read The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein :worship: and it is a MUST READ on my list... amazing book!!!

I read that book last Spring, after buying it at Starbucks. I promptly went out his other two books, which are completely different. His first book was very hard to find, as it's out of print. I loved them all. He is now my favorite author...unfortunately he has only written has 3 books (so far)!

So far it is pretty good! I am kind of bummed I saw the movie first though. I will have to check out Firefly Lane soon! I like a book that gets me to cry a bit. Actually a book that can bring on any strong emotions makes it better to me!!
I LOVE the Janet Evonovich books. The Stephanie Plumb series cracks me up. Have you read any of the others??

I haven't read any of Janet Evanoich's (sp?) books. This is the first! I've heard lots of good things about her on this thread so I'm giving her a shot. :) Haven't tried Stephanie Plumb's books yet either, she's also gotten raves so I'll be checking out some of her books as well.

I've already gotten another Kristin Hannah book on hold. Something about sisters. I really like her writing style!

Janet Evanovich is the author of the Stephanie Plumb books. Stephanie is a bailbondsperson working in New Jersey. Start from the beginning - starts with "One for the Money"....I think she's up to 14 now.
