Dawn of D-Day: These Men Were There 6 June 1944 by David Howarth.
I'm also about to start these two books:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen (and Seth Grahame-Smith)
It's the same book just "Now with Ultravilotent Zombie Mayhem!". It's suppossed to be pretty good and you're suppossed to read them side by side. If I like it, then I'm going to move onto these:
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters by Jane Austen (and Ben H. Winters)
I'm just starting "Cry, the Beloved Country" by Alan Paton. It's a little heavier than the stuff I've been reading lately, but so far I really like it.
I'm reading The Devil's Queen. It is a fictional account of Catherine De Medici and her time as Queen of France. It's written very much in the style of Phillippa Gregory novel's. I like it--it's pretty good.
Just finished the Sunrise series by Karen Kingsbury (which I HIGHLY recommend ), and just started Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. Only on page 50 or so, but so far so good

I liked, Change of Heart. It was gut wrenching subject matter, but the plot moved well. I'd love to know what you think of the ending (when the time comes).
I just finished When the Bough Breaks by Jonathan Kellerman. It took me forever and was not really impressed. Has anyone here read the series? Is it worth it? DOes it get better?
I just started Predator by Patricia Cornwell. It does not have any good reviews out there but I am reading the whole series.
I just got the first 3 Stephanie Plum books as well as the first in the True Blood series.....I hope they are good. Thanks everyone.
Last night I started Buckingham Palace Gardens by Anne Perry. So far, so good.
An interesting tid bit about the author:
Did any of you see Heavenly Creatures about the 2 teen age girls who kill one of their mothers? Juliet Hume, the girl from the well to do family, writes under the name, Anne Perry!
It freaked me out when I found out that the books I loved were written by a real life murderess. She spent 5 years in jail. Anyway, after a 5 year break from reading her novels, I downloaded a couple to my Sony reader the other day.
I could never get into that book, maybe I will try again soon.
I got sidetracked from reading the host by Full Moon Rising, by Keri Arthur (it was a free download) I liked it, and would like to read the rest, but my library isn't offering, and I am not sure I want to buy them.
I read The Strain by Guillarmo Del Toro. I was really looking forward to this book, but I was very disappointed. Without really going into details, I felt all the characters were really stereotypical. Stereotypical ex husband who is too obsessed with his work to keep his marriage but still loves his son. Stereotypical new BF who is not good enough. There are two main female characters, one is just the ex wife and the other is the ex husbands' work love interest who has maybe two lines and zero character development.
I also read the Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare. They are targeted as young adult books, but I really enjoyed them anyway. I think the plot and characters are all very intriguing, I haven't been this involved in a series since Harry Potter. I recommend it, even for adults.
Right now I am reading the 4th Vampire Academy book "Blood Promise"
I have a stack of books by my bed. Next I have ..
My Sister's Keeper, Treasure Island, Dracula, The Summoning, Fragile Eternity, and reread Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for the billionth time.
