Yesterday I read the first book in another Beverly Lewis series - "The Preacher's Daughter" - (Annie's People).. Excellent book! Will probably read the second in the series today - "The Englisher"..:goodvibes

I just finished My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and LOVED it... haven't seen the movie, wanted to read the book first.

I am now reading The Secret Between Us by Barbara Delinsky. It is also a page turner so far, but a very easy read.

Barbara Delinsky is another favorite author of mine..:thumbsup2 Haven't read the book you mentioned though and may have to look into that..:goodvibes

For Jodi Picoult, I have read:

My Sister's Keeper

The Pact
19 Minutes
Vanishing Acts
Mercy

I would highly suggest the ones you haven't read.. (Also - if you are going to see the movie, "My Sister's Keeper", be prepared.. There has been quite a lot of public backlash because they changed the end of the story..:sad2:)

I just finished "Child 44" by Tom Rob Smith. It was very engaging, thrilling, and disturbing. But a really good read! I highly recommend to all.;)

I second this review. The serial killer plot line is actually a subplot. The most interesting parts of the book, imo, are the descriptions of living in Russia under the Stalin regime. Fascinating.

I found the Stalin regime and life in Russia during that time very disturbing... I read a book (a long time ago) about an American who spent 20 yrs in a Gulag.. Yikes!

Currently reading 6 Sacred Stones by Matthew Reily (another action packed book). The book is the sequel to 7 Deadly Wonders (which was an awesome action packed book, picture the tv show 24 meets Indiana Jones)

I just finished

The Constant Princess (Meh)
Love the One You're With (Fun)
Sarah's Key (Good but sad)

I'm now reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (just starting, so we'll see)

And next is the new Sophie Kinsella, Twenties Girl. I love her books.

This past week I finished "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. I really enjoyed this one! I love his writing, and this one was really good! Highly recommend it!

I also read "Sandstorm" by James Rollins. This was an action packed adventure story. Very Indiana Jones! I really liked it, as well.

Now, I'm reading "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. I was an English Lit. major and somehow never read this. Guess it's time.

I'm now reading The Italian Quarter, by Domenica de Rosa.

I'm enjoying it so far.

I am TRYING to read When the Bough Breaks by Jonathan Kellerman. It's the first book in the Alex Delaware series but it's not grabbing me like the James Petterson and Kathy Reichs series....

I am giving it another try...Does anyone here read this series?

Read the second book in "Annie's People" yesterday - "The Englisher" - and will read the last today - "The Bretheren"..

Then it's on to a new series tomorrow! )Or maybe later tonight..) :thumbsup2

The Constant Princess (Meh)

I haven't posted in a while. I've been trying to get through The Appeal by John Grisham. I read his non-fiction earlier this year and this reads dry like that. But I'm finally to the point where I want to know how it ends so I keep reading. A chapter a night and I'm almost finished.

So, the Constant Princess was Meh? Did you like any other Gregory books? I liked The Other Boleyn Girl, but struggled some with The Boleyn Inheritance. Maybe because I knew how it ended (same with other one I guess too, but it was juicier). I was thinking about The Constant Princess so let me know more.

Next on my list, if I ever finish The Appeal is Atonement. I hope that's good.

.

James Rollins is one of my favorites. I loaded the Doomsday Key on my Kindle a week or so back, but haven't done much reading lately. His entire SIGMA series is good.

Just finished the Girl who played with fire by Steig Larsen. Second in the trilogy that started with the girl with the dragon tatoo. Loved both of them!

I just started Living Dead in Dallas (Charlaine Harris). Enjoying it so far :thumbsup2
