Over the weekend I finished:

"Vanishing Acts" - by Jodi Picoult

And also read:

"Mercy" - by Jodi Picoult

"Comes The Blind Fury" - by John Saul

"When The Wind Blows" - by John Saul

"A Thousand Tomorrows" - by Karen Kingsbury (sad, but a great book!)

Haven't walked down to the mailbox yet to see if any of the books I ordered from Amazon.com came, so I'll probably start another John Saul supernatural thriller tonight..:thumbsup2

I finished The Constant Princess last night and I picked up The Virgin's Lover and The Other Queen at the library tonight. Those are all by Philippa Gregory. I'm saving those for vacation next week. I'm going to pick up Dan Brown's Deception Point for this week. I'll also be taking the 3rd Harry Potter book, Prisoner of Azkaban with me next week.

I've just started Anne Tyler's Digging to America. So far, so good!:thumbsup2

I am a Romance novel fan particularly Johanna Lindsey and Kathleen Woodwiss...I am in love with all those hunky men that just worship their women. My very favorite book is by Johanna Lindsey "A Rose in Winter" hmmmmm that Christopher character is the man of my dreams. But from reading this thread I see not too many of you will know this book.

"Mercy" - by Jodi Picoult...

How were these 2 books by Jodi Picoult? I have only read one of her books (19 Minutes) and really liked it. I may have to pick up more.

I just started book 1 of the Sookie Stackhouse series.

Great! She never disappoints..:) Two other excellent books of hers - that really got me "hooked" were:

"My Sister's Keeper"

"The Pact"

You just can't put them down until you're finished! :thumbsup2

I just picked up Julie & Julia. I keep thinking, "why didn't I think of that!?"

I remember those authors! My Mom used to read them when they first came out. The Flame and the Flower and Shanna were the first of those "bodice rippers" I read, taking them from my Mom after she had finished!

Still light reading- evanovich Ten Big Ones
I'm trying to not read them too fast because I think she only wrote up to 15. So I have to not move too quickly through them. But they crack me up.

I second the Janet Evanovich's too.....and Vision in White (Nora Roberts) was so pleasant and fluffy.

I hadn't read any Joy Fielding books before, and I bought one at a fund-raiser at the library, titled, The First Time. Oh, so sad! I need fluff! no more sad stories!

Right now I'm reading two:
"The Plague Year" by Jeff Carlson
and
"Real Murders" by Charlaine Harris

Thanks for mentioning that. I'll keep that title in mind. I just finished, Accidental Tourist by her. It was good. I enjoyed it. But it was much different from my usual reading. It took awhile for me to get into it, but I'm glad I stuck it out. I added a quote to my sig. from her book. I thought it was interesting.

When I got the book, I had a mistaken notion I was getting, Table for 5 (the plot that is, minus the title) or something like that. I had that plot in my mind when I saw that title. I had seen trailers with John Voight (sp) and some children in a movie with a title like that. It was bugging me, because I couldn't place the story I had in mind. But I think that was the one. Anyway, I'd like to read that one too if I can get the title straight that is.

Next up is, Sleeping Murder, by Agatha Christie.

This book scared the heck out of me the first time I read it :scared: ~ I was about 12 or 13 (about the same age as the main characters, I believe). I was a nervous wreck for weeks, LOL!! Fast forward several years and I actually named my youngest DD Amanda, LOL! :rotfl:

I finished Sisterhood by Michael Palmer ~ liked it very much! I had put aside Dead until Dark (because my Twilight director's notebook came from Amazon :lovestruc and we've been so busy) but I picked it back up last night and I'm really getting into it now! :thumbsup2

I'm just starting Three Cups of Tea (Greg Mortenson). My Dad gave me the book and I've heard great things. Anyone read this?

The Mist by Carla Neggers

It is the sequeal to The Angel.
