Oops, sorry! I was very pleased with how this one played out. If you're a aan of the Pendergast novels you'll enjoy it. The authors are back on track now, the trilogy with WHeel of Darkness and the other two didn't really grab me.

Another author that I have been enjoying is Heather Graham (not the actress from the Austin Powers movie, ;)). She writes supernatural romantic suspense.

SInceI got the Kindle I have been exploring some new areas like harlequin type books (hey they were free downloads) and actually found an author that I enjoy, MErline Lovelace. Just downloade a few of hers from Amazon.

Another one is Lara Adrian, she has a vampire series (yes, another one of those) that is pretty good.

Again Cemetery Dance is worth the effort!

:thumbsup2Glad to hear that Cemetery Dance is good! I figured it was! Thanks! (I was not a big fan of Wheel of Darkness, lol, I was listening to it on tape when I had a painter doing some inside work, and he was like, WHAT are you listening too???!!! It was funny, actually....)

Did you read any of the previous books? Are they in order and do you need to read the previous in the series? I grabbed this book from the library not realizing it was a series...should I start from the beginning?
Thanks!

These don't need to be read in order, but they are fun to read in order! I really enjoyed reading them, and trying the recipes!

Paula Deen's "It ain't just about the cookin". It's her memoirs. It's hilarious and very good. We are going to be stopping at her resturant on our next trip down to FL so I figure I better read up because she's sometimes around the place!!

I just finished "The Help" by Katherine Sockett. Wonderful. Really loved it. Now re-reading "The Poet" by John Connelly. Loved it the first time, but as soon as I read the villian's name, I remembered they did it. But it's still good and well written.

I just finished reading Geraldine Brooks, "The Year of Wonders." I was pleasantly surprised at this book! I was even more pleasantly surprised when I found that she based the story on the true story of a village in England! I love stuff like that! I highly recommend this one!

Next up is "The Year of Magical Thinking" by Joan Didion. I also need to read "Cold Sassy Tree" for book group. Problem is, my whole family is down with H1N1, so we're under voluntary quarantine for another couple of days. I WANT MY LIBRARY FIX!!!

I've read some of Joanna Fluke's books, somewhat out of order, just grabbed whatever looked good that day at the library. I don't know if you're supposed to read them in some special order, but I haven't, and it seems OK to me.

Thanks! So I was all ready to read my book, then....

Glynis must know I'm analytical and now have to go back and request the first few from the library! I want to be spontaneous, really, I do!

Glynis, I hope your family is feeling better really soon!!!!!!

Sorry to throw a wrench in your works! You should read the fudge cupcake book, and see if you even want to invest the time in the series. I read the third one first, and enjoyed it enough to want to go back and start the series. I wish there were more of them. They are not taxing on the brain, but they are wonderful summer reads!

Thanks for the well wishes! We are coming to the end of it! We've all had it except the 6 month old. He seems to be coming through the siege without any symptoms at all! Lucky baby!

I also read them out of order. I thought it was okay, you just know more about a character than you should if you read a later book. But now I am going to go back and start at the beginning.

Picked up Dead and Gone from the library last night. Have to admit I had forgotten it, I had requested it so long ago! I'll start it later today.

I am currently reading These is My Words, which I picked up after it was recommended on a different book thread here on the DIS. I am loving it! It is written as the journal of a young pioneer woman in the late 1800s. This doesn't normally sound like something I would read, but the stories she tells are so interesting that I am already planning on reading the next book as soon as I am done.

I liked Dead and Gone, quick easy read. Anyone get the new Stephanie Plum book, Finger Kickin Fifteen, yet?

I have been on the waitlist at the library forever. I am 101 out of 398 :scared1:

I can't wait to read it but don't want to buy it.

I'm currently reading Annie's Rainbow by Fern Michaels. I'm really enjoying it!

I just started Killer Riff by Sheryl Anderson. It is the 4th book in the Molly Forrester Series.

Killer Heels
Killer Cocktails
Killer Deals

I just picked this book up! I hope that it is something that I will enjoy on vacation next week.

I finally finished this book this afternoon! I really didn't think I would like it that much, but others spoke so highly of it that I decided to give it a try. I ended up getting so into it! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, and have a great vacation!

I just finished "the Horse Boy"; it was an amazing book, particularly for those of us who live with autism.
