Just kinda curious to see what other people on this board are listening 2. I'm pretty much into anything really, my tastes range from like Josh Groban to Hawthorne Heights. party:

My music tastes are VERY broad. However, I have been hopelessly sucked into podcasting as of lately....especially the Disney themed shows. At first, I was a listener...now I am a Disney podcaster myself and produce The Meandering Mouse. Remember, a podcast is simply an MP3 file....you don't need an IPOD. Check them out and enjoy. The info on my is shown below.

Here's my downloads for the week.... Like them all!!

James Blunt - Cry, Goodbye My Lover, & High
Audioslave - Doesn't Remind Me
Yellowcard - Lights & Sounds
Daniel Powter - Had a Bad Day
All American Rejects - Move Along
Pearl Jam - Worldwide Suicide
Wicked - songs from the broadway play
Black Eyed Peas - Pump It

Well, Bon Jovi is my favorite favorite favorite band of all time. But I have been listening to All-American Rejects, The Rolling Stones, Fall Out Boy, Goo Goo Dolls, and various 80s music lately. Much of the music that is played on radio stations in my hometown I can't stand so I pretty much stick to CDs and my iPod.

Yellowcard
Something Corporate
Howie Day
Phantom of the Opera
Panic! At the Disco

That type of genre...well Phantom is an exception :goodvibes

Just thought of more:

Coldplay
Damien Rice
Daniel Powter (AKA...Daniel Baby Powder :rotfl: )
Dashboard Confessional
Evanescence
Fall Out Boy
Greenday
James Blunt
Les Miserables
O-Zone (Romanian...but awesome sound and lyrics are beautiful if you look them up translated)

Let us know if yuo find anything good in our lists!

Thanxs a bunch you guys! I have heard of some of the bands, but always good to get refreshed

Coldplay (awesome band, esp the song Sparks from Wedding Crashers)
Damien Rice (Always loved this guy Cold water & Delicated)
Daniel Powter (the only thing I know is Bad Day but I like his voice)
Dashboard Confessional (don't know 2 much about em)
Evanescence (always good)
Fall Out Boy (Heck Yeah Fall Out Boy  is there any better? doubtful)
Greenday (one of the best bands ever)
James Blunt (your beautiful)
Les Miserables (Sucker for musicals)
Yellowcard (Lights and Sounds GR8 SONG!)
Something Corporate (haven't heard YET)
Howie Day (The only thing I know is Collide)
Phantom of the Opera (Once again sucker for musicals, phantom is like my 2nd favorite musical ever, Rent takes the number one spot)
Panic! At the Disco (I write Sins, Not Tragides one of the funniest music videos ever)

Here's a couple bands I came across that are pretty cool:
Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah (The guy who plays Hurley likes this band)
Wolf Parade (Also another group said by they guy who plays Hurley)
Hips Don't Lie by Shakira( aweshome song!)
The Rocket Summer (Purdy Schweet band)
SOS by Rihanana (I know sad but true, dunno why I like it)
Cute is what we aim for (The band is just about as cool as their name)

If anything else cool comes across your guys minds don't hesitate to post!
Thank you once again,
:wave2:

I am really into indie bands... Like Alicia Champion... Her song called "crayzier" is KICK booty! I am also into the Spiderman 2 Soundtrack. #2 "Ordionary" is AWESOME!! *starts singing and dancing like a dorkus* BOND is good... So are "The Coors" and Shaped Like a Gun (these are all string groops with a rock type feel... give it a try if you want something outside the box)

But as far as bands people actualy know...

Nickelback (the long road #6-end are the best songs on the CD)
Maroon 5 ("Woman" off the Spiderman 2 soundtrack is just sexy)
The Killers (Andy is a Star is annoying as all hell but all other songs rock)
Metalica (Anything before the Black Album is the best)
John Mayer flat rox my sox
Coldplay is cool I LOVE "the Scientist"
Live (Their Greatist Hits album recently came out and Dolphin's Cry was on it XD)
Disturbed (I like Down With The Sickness (the album) the best)
Yellowcard is good
311 is good
Dashboard is killer!
Modest Mouse
Fall out boy is one of the best groops that went pop.
If you are into pop... Kelly Clarkson takes my heart.

Don't shoot me... but if you like country Reba Mcintire just came out with a new Greatest Hits CD I was slightly disapointed that "Fancy" didn't make it onto the 2 disk set but there are a lot of songs on there that just flat kick ***. Its good if you like old school not "My dog just died and my wife is doing the neighbors dog now" country.

If you want any other sugestions on indie groops that are out... just leme know

Well.....
Shockingly enough
I do like some country
Keith Urban
Tim McGraw
and some other artists but mostly popy country

Let me recommend Averi to everybody. They are a local, Boston band just waiting to be signed and they are absolutely amazing. I heard them when they came to BU and wow...some of the best song lyrics i've ever heard. Their sound is rock/popish without sounding manufactured. Check them out on iTunes.

Well... I'm not known for my taste in conventional music. So if you like stuff like that I'd say...

Gackt
Utada
Peter Murphy
Rammstein
Erik Karol (if you can get his stuff)
3 Feet Smaller
Tarkan
Mustafa Sandal
Juanes

Of course one can never say no to
David Bowie
Queen
a-ha
Quiet Riot
Skid Row.

AHHHH Averi!!! Those guys keep sending me friend requests on myspace, and I keep turning them down (I literally just turned down one from them like 2 minutes ago.) I hate it when bands and clubs send you those because if you accept you just get about 100000 useless bulletins a day from them about their newest show 3,000 miles away from where you live or whatever :sad2: Not to mention that I really can't stand "Indie Rock" or most other modern "rock" music. Now if you're into ska, check out Big D and the Kid's Table and Westbound Train they're great local Boston bands, and also Catch 22 (although they're from NJ) ;)
