Spinoff of the Teen DD's thread because I find boy so much harder to buy for.

Here's my ds13's list.

Xbox Live starter kit plus one year membership
Xbox 360 NBA2K14
Xbox 360 Grand Theft Auto
Nike Elite backpack
Nike Elite shorts
University of Arizona throw blanket
Wireless keyboard

I am not sure yet. I am sure that there will be a video game or two. He would love the new playstation but that is not going to happen. I know He would like a PS3, but even if it is affordable I hate buying old technology.

I may get him some giftcards.

I am going to watch this. I have few ideas for DS13. Maybe a gaming muse and keyboard. Probably some video games, but that is getting old. He wants an Xbox, but not the new one and I agree with pp; I don't want to buy old tech! It gets old soon enough anyway!

DS14 wants a PS3. Not sure if we are going to get it yet. He also has a list of movies he wants so I am sure he will get a few DVD's. He also wants a heated blanket. :lmao: He is always cold. He will get some clothes from Arepostle and Old Navy, along with some new Elite Socks. I will also get him s few gift cards to McD's, Chipotle, Subway. They always get new PJ's for Christmas Eve. Stocking will have new toothbrush, favorite candy, cologne.

If we get the PS3 that will be big gift along with some games. If we don't he wants tickets to see Phantom of the Opera so his big gift will be show tickets and dinner date with mom.

It is getting harder the older they get.

DS is getting DH's old computer with Minecraft loaded. The computer works fine...it's just not working for DH's video editing needs, so he had to upgrade. We just need to purchase a new monitor for it and it'll be good to go...

I am breaking down and finally getting DS13 a phone. My kids are only allowed to ask for one thing. I started that when they were very little. I spend so much on them throughout the year, they don't need a lot of things.

My kids get 3 things from "Santa" the one they asked for and 2 others. (DS13 doesn't believe but his little sisters still do) 1 gift from their siblings and 1 from mom and dad. 6 total gifts and then stocking stuffers. He said since i have to keep paying for his gift, he doesn't expect anything else.

I did get him a Kingdom Hearts video game and other than that..I am out of ideas. Each kid is going on a "mommy and me" cruise, so I have DCL calling them for their gifts from mom and dad. I just have no idea what else to get him. :confused3

This year he is getting an iphone, otterbox, 12 months card for his xbox, GCs from iTunes, etc.. and GTA 5.

I have no clue. DS is 17. So far I have a new wallet, a movie, and some zombie playing cards. I am at a loss and he is no help at all.

I have a few things I would like to get my DS (17 in Dec.) for Christmas :

New flat screen tv (with wall mount)
Iphone for Virgin Mobile
New Ipod (but if he gets the phone he won't need the Ipod)
Apple & Xbox 360 cards

He is an only child and doesn't want for a lot. Plus he is getting older and what he does want is expensive. $ $ $ :)

We have preordered a PS4 and NBA Live 2K14 for our DS (he turns 18 in mid January). His stocking will consist of gift cards (Subway, iTunes, etc.), movie passes, socks, etc.

He is a huge clothes horse, and has more clothes than any human being should ever possess at one time :crazy2:. I refuse to buy him anything more to wear unless its an undergarment of some sort.

Sigh....then I have to figure out something to get him for his birthday 3 weeks later. Why couldn't he have been born in June?!?

well both boys are getting new ipads and a case. That will be all plus some stocking stuffers. My younger son though he will be 11 so not a teen has a birthday dec 19th so he will get video games and whatever else is on his list.

My ds13 s getting
Dirtbike riding gear (boots, pants/shirt, gloves, chest protector)
Minecraft lego sets
12 month Xbox Live card
A couple video games (don't know which ones yet)

For his stocking
Zombieland DVD
Itunes card
10 ft ipod cable
USB wall and car charger
candy/gum

He doesn't have a smartphone so maybe I'll upgrade his dumbphone to one.

DS14 has made a list of assorted retro video games that he is currently into so I have gotten him a few of those used on Amazon. I also preordered the new Batman xbox game coming out tomorrow. The last gift I have to get him will be the game system he wants, I can't remember which one it is (it's written down), nintendo 64 or something. I will get it used from ebay. Oh, and pajamas.

DS16 is more difficult to buy for, his interests change very quickly. His big gift will be a saxophone. I don't really want to get him video games because he never plays them. He wants some video editing software, he's really into acting and has started making youtube videos, but the software he asked for you pay by the month and I don't really like that so I need to look around and see if I can find something of comparable quality that isn't too expensive. For his stocking so far I have "I heart my pe***" hand sanitizer. Last year I got him "I may have touched my genitals" hand sanitizer and it was his favorite stocking stuffer, he actually used it, too.

I'll probably get all 4 boys an Axe gift set as well, they like those.
Has anyone seen a good price for Nike Elite socks? I'm seeing $13 a pair  and they're for my fast-growing 9 year old.

My DS will turn 13 on 12/28... I have double to buy!! Not much on his list. He wants gift cards to Great Wolf Lodge and a new video game chair so far. He loves sports so I'll probably order some Cowboys items from nfl.com. Maybe some new baseball stuff like bat bag, bat , & glove . thinking of a new Under Armor hoodie cause I usually won't spend that much on a sweatshirt!

My DS will turn 17 in a couple of weeks. He never asks for much. He would like a new Xbox game that is coming out, Xbox points so he can purchase new map packs. A plane ticket for our trip to the World on 12/28 and some Disney GC's. DS started to collect pocket watches several years ago - I think I will get a display case for him.

Family traditions are - Santa leaves new PJ's for everyone Christmas Eve. We wrap up new underwear and socks. LOL My family and DH family did this. Everyone is allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve - and it is so funny if someone picks that underwear box - like DS did
last year.

I'm a girl & can't help you much here but just wanted to say that the UofA gift is a GREAT idea ;) go wildcats!

We have the same tradition (getting PJ's on Christmas Eve) except I get to "randomly" :rotfl2: choose one gift for the kids to open on Christmas Eve.
Every year I dig around under the tree saying "hmmm...which one of these gifts looks like the PERFECT gift to open on Christmas Eve?"
The kids are 19,14,and 12 so they get annoyed by the whole process now. They say "Mom, REALLY? It's ALWAYS pajamas...just get the boxes with the stars next to our names...they're the ones with the pajamas in them".

I don't know why they think that...I just randomly pick 3 to open. :rolleyes1

We have the same tradition, every year my kids get new PJs and an ornament on Christmas Eve. My kids ask if they can open something but they do it jokingly because they know exactly what it is they are going to open.
