What are you getting your DH?

Thinking about a trip to Italy for both of us but not sure. He is not into stuff so buying him presents is hard. He could live in a tent with 2 changes of clothes and 1 pair of shoes and be perfectly content.

Buyer Beware!! Do not buy your DH Call of Duty, you will never see him/spend time with him if you do. Well unless thats what your after :lmao:

But seriously, that game is so addicting, my DH is playing it right now, and incase its not bad enough that they play it all the time all hours of the night, the players also talk and scream at each other over their microphones. We have a daughter due in January and I have not even been able to pull him away to set up the nursery :sad2: guess the baby will be sleeping in the bed and he will be sleeping on the couch.

That's too funny! When I was pregnant with my first, it was when the first Playstation came out, which I got my DH for Xmas. Well, after six months, I gave it to my nephew because my DH was always playing the darn thing and forgot that he had a family!! LOL!! I laugh now, but I wasn't happy back then...

Mine is getting the Cataclysm expansion for World of Warcraft and 'The Shattering', a novel based on the events happening now in the game. My DH is really hard to shop for so I'm glad he plays games...otherwise he'd probably get socks :rotfl2:.

Apparently Guys really get into the 'War on Warcraft' Divorces happens because the people zone out of everyday life. There is actually a web site for 'WOW' widows. They all talk about how people zone out of life and the marriages go kaput.

Tea blends from Teavana along with the tea brewing thingie you need (he loves coffee and tea)

Books.... he is a big reader and will hates modern technology (he sent his first text 2 months ago and it was also his last since then... LOL!) so no kindle/nook/etc for him!

Tony Hawk Wii game/board.... he's a 39 year old former skater so I thought it would be a "fun" gift for him :)

Clothes, socks, etc.... kind of a boring year! LOL!

2nd year in a row, I got DH and DS (age 22) NY Giants football tickets from NFL.com/tickets

They are expensive, but what a great time they had last year, I had to buy them again. This year they are going to the Giants-Eagles game in a few weeks. It is the last home game, and it falls before Christmas, so I told them about it already (so they would leave the day free in their schedules).

PS My other DS is 24, and I got him 2 tickets to the new musical on Broadway, Spiderman After Dark (same price as the 1 Giants ticket I got the other son). He can take his girlfriend I figure.....

We have enough stuff, we are focusing more on "experiences" .......

I couldn't agree more!!

My DH never spends money on himself. However, after playing this game for months on my son's xbox, when he moved out, DH ran out that same day and upgraded to a PSP3...haven't seen him since. He literally does nothing but work and play this game. I keep waiting for the appeal to wear off. So far it hasn't! :headache:

DH is deploying so we (kids and I) are giving him an MP3 player that we will load up with his favorite songs, some videos, pictures, etc., a cheaper digital camera (no need to spend lots of $$ on one to go to the sand box) and a watch that he can wear while gone.

I got DH seasons 1-6 of Deadliest Catch on DVD.. I got him the Blue Ray Charlie Brown Holiday Collection which has the Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas movies (he's a HUGE CB nut!), I got him a book that was written by one of the Deadliest Catch Captains, and a $15 Dunkin Donuts Giftcard with my picture on the gc.. Still need to spend about $30 or so.. so Im thinking of a giftcard to his favorite mexican restaurant.. For his stocking so far I got him some miniature Jack Daniel Coffees.. not sure what else to put in there yet..

No kids yet, but we like to have lots of presents under the tree, so I tend to buy him lots of little things. His birthday is the day after Christmas, so I have to get him something for that, too-- probably either Rangers tickets or to "A Life in the Theater" on Broadway.
For his stocking, I ordered 2 pounds of orange gummy bears (his fav) and 2 pack of Old Spice. For gifts, he'll get a sweater and tee shirt from his favorite designer (Ben Sherman), a funny tee from Loops + Pluto, a vintage lighter (he collects), toiletry kit from WWII, Shutterfly photobook of all of our vacations, and an audiobook about the MIT students who took down casinos (what "21" was based off of). I'll add a couple more things, too.

Shoot! No post from DW yet. :lmao: I was hoping she would've seen this thread and posted here. I'll have to check back later.

DH is getting:

2 Xbox games (Fallout Las Vegas & Red something or other - got for about 1/2 price on Amazon BF)
Simpsons season 20 DVDs ($13 on Amazon BF)

I am getting World of Warcraft Cataclysm that we will share as we both play ... alot, lol. I play more than he does (I have 3 lvl 80s to his 1). We share an account. (my other present is the Harry Potter blu ray box set bought on, you guessed it - Amazon BF for $40)

Also get a popcorn tin and some gummy bears for his stocking.

Does anyone know where I can get those rubber things you put over your good dress/work shoes in the winter? DH wants those for Christmas.

Maggie

DH is getting

Batman for PS3
Donkey Kong for Wii
3rd Gen Ipod Nano ($30 on 1stealaday!)
3 pairs of jeans
2 sweaters
2 shirts
1 pair pj pants

Still have to buy:
Epic Mickey
an electric razor
...hoping I can get the last 2 for under $80.

I know DH wishes that there were more games/movies. He hates when I buy him clothes, but this is the only time of year I can get away with it. He wears whatever jeans he wants to do construction work in, thereby killing them. He has no nice jeans anymore. The pair I bought him last Christmas are now destroyed. He doesn't care though, he's content wearing his high waters that he bought in high school....10 years ago!

200$ worth of buckey balls (The magnet balls you play with... i did get it on super sale for 100$ though)... he will for the 12th ish year in a row predictably get me nothing as he does for every other holiday saying that "he just couldn't think of anything" sigh. I"m glad we can afford gifts, but it gets depressing sometimes that i'm not worth the effort EVER including anniversarys, birthdays, etc. and then i get him something and just feel bad because he never does things for me. I got him a computer for our anniversary along with some other things he needed... he got me a card that he wrote in at the last minute how sorry he was that he couldn't find anything for me because it's "too hard" but hope he likes the magnet balls anyway!
