What are you doing with you day off tomorrow?

Nope I have to work as well.

This thread made me think though. Now I am married but do not have any kids (yet!!!) so I don't have a WHOLE lot that needs to be done. You know, the usual... shopping, cleaning and laundry. Howevere i know that I am much more productive on unexpected days off then I am on the weekends. For example, if i took tuesday off i would get a lot more accomplished then I would on Saturday and sunday combined. Anyone else like this?

I have been thinking I will organize my time once we do have a baby. Fingers crossed, I will become a SAHM....I think that organization will be key!

I've got a day off, KAMommy doesn't. Kids are out of school. I was planning to do laundry, but I'm a little ahead of my schedule - just have half a load left to do, so I'll finish that tonight. So tomorrow me & the kids might do a Star Wars marathon (my son has his Jedi outfit ready so that's probably what we'll do), or Looney Tunes cartoons, or Three Stooges, or whatever they want to do.

I'm moving back to college tomorrow, unpacking, buying books, etc. Hopefully getting to bed early, since I have an 8 am class on Tuesday, but we all haven't seen each other in a month. Early to bed is not going to happen. Classes start Tuesday Where has this month gone?

My mom and I are both teachers, so she's coming to Louisville and we're going out for lunch.

I've always been this way, too. I think it's because we're programmed to think of Saturday and Sunday as our days off (and if you normally have other days off, you start to feel that way about them). We think we're supposed to sleep in, have a leisurely breakfast, do something fun, etc. Tuesdays, we're "supposed" to get up early and be productive. So even if we have the day off, we are more likely to get up earlier, get ready quicker, go out and run errands, or do stuff around the house, and less likely to plop down on the couch with a book and a box of bonbons.

I think that's why I get more done on an unexpected day off, anyway. YMMV
