What are you doing for Mother's Day?

DH is grilling (and he is a wonderful chef) doing the 4 generation females of the family (and celebrating new grandbaby on the way)--don't know if DS is joining -- he graduates from college today:sunny: :wave2:

My mom, 2 daughters, (19 and 13), aunt, cousin, and myself are all going to the movies to see Mean Girls. Then I will settle in with my husband and daughters for the survivor finale.:)

DD and I are going to see Harry Connick Jr tonite. Tomorrow DS#1 and family and DS#2 are coming over for dinner. I'll make lasagne as soon as I get off of the computer and DDIL is making dessert. The guys will finish cooking everything tomorrow (DH and all three DS) as well as clean up while DDIL and I relax (LOL) with DGDs.

Going to church, then we'll probably head to my inlaws for awhile, then at 5 we're going to dinner at Damon's with my mom & my brother. It is also DH's (and my SIL's---twins!!) birthday tomorrow. :)

For Mothers Day I will get up early and make my wife some tea and bring it to her while she is in bed. Will then make breakfast for her and our son(just got back from Afghanistan) and grandsons. Get the Sunday newspaper so she can read it and clip coupons. Then we will probably head outside the Motorhome, hop on the bikes, put the 2 GS in the trailer behind my bike and ride around FW for a morning ride. PD(pregnant daughter?), SIL and 3rd GS will come over later in the day and for the first time in more than 10 years my wife will have her kids together for Mothers Day. Of course I WILL call my MOM up and say HI from WDW.

Wow! What a GREAT day! Enjoy having all your family, John!

To all of you who have lost your Mom, a big {{{{ Hug }}}}

Due to tomorrow's weather forecast, we've changed our focus from a bbq to a brunch.

I hope to serve:

Fresh fruit platter with dip
Peach oatmeal muffins
Blueberry buttermilk pancakes with real maple syrup
Scrambled eggs
Bacon and sausage
Asparagus
Toast and assorted jams
Of course, juice, coffee, tea, maybe some champagne! :)

Care to join us? :D

:flower3:

Homework lol

My mom is 20 hours away but I know she knows how much I love her and when I am back from school I will do something special for her.

Going to church with my dd and then home to have a 'it's all about me' day!! My first without my mom. I was thinking about sitting in the closet with a pitcher of Bloody Mary's but older dd, 27, says she isn't crazy about a drunk mother on Mother's Day. So, that idea is out!!
 To all of you out there in the same boat as me. The first Mother's Day is probably the hardest!!

I'm working Sunday, but my mom will probably be vegging, shopping, and/or tanning. But for her gift I bought two tickets (one for Mom and one for little sister (I already have a PHP)) for Epcot so we can go see the Flower and Garden Festival! This will be our first family trip in a long time (last time was in the early 90's). We are set to leave on Friday morning! Yeah!!:hyper:

Can't wait til my :bday: trip though!

You're right, Goofy4tink. The first is the hardest. The others following improve, but it's never the same again. I lost my mom 10 years ago on May 4. :(
