What are you doing for Earth Hour?

Are you joining in?
We are turning off all electricity and electronics tonight for some family fun under candlelight. (yes - no dis for me tonight...) It will be a great game of monopoly and maybe some stargazing if it's dark enough in the back yard.
Anyone else have plans? Would love to hear your ideas! Or tell us what you did for the event!

Our family is getting together to play cards by candlelight. We will be turning off everything and enjoying family time! We still have fond memories of the time we spent together during the blackout several years ago! We will probably look outside to see if we can see the stars as they may be easier to see if lots of people support earth hour. So no Dis for me tonight either!

we turned off all power except the tv for HNIC and NCAA but we usually try not to use much power. we love candlelight or watching tv in the dark.

We turned off all the lights and played Uno. Dh did plug in his work laptop to see how much the drop in power was though. He works for IESO ( part of the old Ontario Hydro)

David Suzuki said it was ok to watch tv so we turned off all the lights and watched the Leafs game (apparently the lights were on at the ACC!). The kids got out our rechargeable camp light and read and my oldest son played his Nintendo ds he got for his birthday on Friday.

We went downtown for earth hour celebrations. It was freezing but our one DD's was singing with her youth choir so we had to stay. They had giant snakes and ladders and checkers set up for the kids. With our crank lanterns it worked out okay.
