Oh thank you! They did have fun - we all did - in spite of the heat. We made the best of it, although I'm not too keen on going in the summer again any time soon!!

You had mentioned ADR's....you should think about Via Napoli...it was excellent and Shula's was my favorite meal this trip...even over California Grill!! If you are looking for a steak that cannot be surpassed this is your place I always end up doing a lot of meals in Epcot because of the great selection there...

Boma is one of my favorite restaurants also....breakfast OR dinner

Thanks Tracy! We (well DH and I) are very excited! The girls don't know yet.
I was checking out the menu for Via Napoli. I'm sure I would love it!
The girls wore those clothes ALL SUMMER! Paige would still be wearing her sundress if I let her (and it wasn't 50 degrees)!

A PIN CODE FROM DISNEY!!!
Of course it did - We already booked a trip through DVC!! I swear, I feel really lucky that we have gotten PIN codes more than once, but they always send them when we are already booked! What kind of sense is that? I thought the idea was to get people to book? Um, hello, you already got me! I wish I could get some free park tickets instead!

What a great at EPCOT! Sounds like you had fun with the KP missions.

We love the Cape May, too. It is our favorite character breakfast, although it is a shame that Chip and Dale are no longer there. We had it scheduled for our last morning of the trip this year, but AirTrashcan changed our non-stop, 2-5 PM flight to a layover in Atlanta, 11 AM-5 PM, so we had to cancel our reservation.

We had dinner at Cape May, I agree that it is fantastic. I can give enthusiastic thumbs up to both breakfast and dinner at Boma, too!

When are you going to tell the girls? How exciting!!!

Picture request: Can I "borrow" the picture of your family with Teena, and maybe a couple of others from your reports, to send to Teena for the photoalbum I made for her? Sometimes the pictures I copy from the posts come out ok, but sometimes they are blurry when I print them.

KP was fun for the girls. I basically just wandered around taking pics. Sarah said she had probably done enough.
I would have liked to see Chip and Dale too! I was bummed we missed Mickey.

We may not tell the girls about Disney until we are at SIL's house in Ft. Myers and just spring it on them. I'm not sure I can do it, but that was DH's suggestion last night.

Well, tomorrow is the volleyball season ending tournament for the 5th/6th grade team I coach. We ended our season as the ONLY undefeated team in the league!! I'm so proud of the girls (none of them are my kid btw). They are a great group of girls (9 of them). I have had so much fun coaching them, but I always get nervous at games. I can't stand still!
Our first game tomorrow is at 9:00 a.m.! It's double elimination so we will play at least two games. Hopefully we can win three straight (which would be getting to the championship!).
Tomorrow night we're having our party so I probably won't be posting until Sunday.

Thanks guys!!! We did great!! We made it to the Championship game and took it to the third game - which we lost by three points! It was so close! My girls worked so hard and were really impressive against a team that didn't really worry too much about the other teams, but we forced them to really work! So we took 2nd of the tournament, but still won the regular season with an undefeated record. I was so tense - I could not be still!! I have a dry sore throat from all the yelling and cheering!
Then we went out for pizza (and beer for the coaches!) We were pretty worn out, so my fellow coach and her daughter also came to our house to soak in the hot tub. Quite a good day overall. I'm resting tomorrow.

I believe I left off when we were headed to Downtown Disney. I guess I left the camera in the car because I don’t find any pictures of our shopping! I really thought we wouldn’t be long, but it was after 4:00 on our receipts! I wasn’t in a big hurry to go to the beach. That would mean leaving DIsney!!! Plus we weren’t supposed to check in until 4 p.m. I thought we’d get there between 6 and 7 and that would be fine. You’ll see later why that caused a small “problem”.

So we hit up our favorite places at DTD! I had to use my Disney Visa at World of Disney to get a discount, so I got some stuff there - I got a co-worker’s new baby a gift - a Princess onesie, got my neighbor’s grandson a t-shirt with Mickey, bought myself a scrapbooking kit for 2010 and got myself a Mickey coffee mug. I have a note that says we got more shirts for the girls, but I’m not sure what those are!

Of course I had to take them up on the purchase with purchase offer. Heck, with all the extra stuff, I'd need more luggage to get it all home!!

We then hit up Basin!! Oh, I love the smell of this store!! It was so hard for me to decide what to buy - I wanted most everything in the place, but remember, I had to fly home! Limited space required exercising some restraint. We ended up getting some bath bombs, lip sugar scrub and Dr. Spot (thanks Wigd for the recommendations!).

Popped over to the Christmas store and got my 2010 ornament and a Baby’s First Christmas ornament to go with the onesie for my co-worker. He later told me that the baby LOVES Minnie Mouse, so it turned out to be a great gift. I didn’t want to wait hours to get it personalized, so when we got home, I just put her name and 2010 on it with a paint pen.

We were hungry by this point, and still had a few credits left to use. We really didn’t have time to get a TS, so we decided on Earl of Sandwich. I got my yummy Italian that I had last time, and the girls each got a PB&J.

My notes say that I had to shlep around to find a bathroom (one nearby must have been closed??), and it was thundering and lightning out. That’s my cue to get out of there! Even though it started to sprinkle, we zipped into Goofy’s candy store to get some treats with our last couple of snack credits. It looks like we got some sort of Mickey candy and a PB Cup. I’m pretty sure we bought some other stuff too and just paid OOP.

So we zoomed back to the car and said good bye to Disney World - I was sad, but I knew we’d be back in a few days!! We aimed the car east and headed to the beach!!!


I know in some of my earlier posts I didn't have pictures of some purchases. I'll do an extra post with pictures of our souvenirs that should have been in those posts next.

Wow! It's sort of funny, because when we went on this trip, I told DH there wasn't much I wanted to buy! I'd hate to see what I bring home when I'm really shopping!!

I will be continuing on with the TR at the beach. I'll just post a bit about our resort, our trip to NASA, visiting Vero Beach (the foreshadowing of DVC! How ironic!) and then our last day to WDW (as non-resort guests! YIKES!).

You brought home a ton of nice things!!! I always say "only a few" souvies and then end up with way, way more than I intended. Ha!

My daughter Morghan loves the Mickey peace sign and heart shirt the girls got. Cute!!! I also picked up the same 2010 ornament in September. If I recall correctly, we both got the same mirror 2009 ornament last year. Super cool coincidence! I want those window clings next time. With four kids, one cat and one dog, I'm sure my whole back window will be covered. lol!!

Great TR. Your family is adorable.

We will be going in July next year and just like to read TR from the times were are going. We have been before in June/July so I know it is going to be hot.

I see you are staying at AKL on your next trip. Is that were your home resort is? We just purchased DVC in May after our stay there.
