Preface: I received a phone call from exDH about 2pm. It was a Wednesday so his night to spend with the kids, and since his parents were on vacation, I was thinking he was calling to tell me he would be late picking them up or something like that. I was surprised when he asked if I wanted to go to Disney on Ice that night with him and the kids. I'm cautious when accepting things like this bc I don't want to send a message that may be construed as getting back together. I accepted and he said that he would be picking us up so we could catch the train up to Newark. I quickly got the kids dressed since they were in play clothes at that point and packed up the diaper bag. We got to the train station, bought the tickets and within minutes were on the train!
This will mostly be pictures, so get ready!
DS on his 2nd train ride! (Please excuse his long hair, he got his haircut the following day!)
We arrived at the arena before they opened the doors, and picked up the tickets. I had my bag checked and we were allowed in! It was still early so the crowds were low. They had a tea cup photo opp which we did with no wait, and then headed over to the souvenir area!

$60 later, the kids walked away with 2 programs with gold ears, a Buzz figure for DS and a star wand for DD. I was a tad disappointed with the selection compared to last year's Nemo on Ice, but it was for the best - less money to spend! We grabbed hot dogs for dinner and ate them in this lounge area bc we weren't able to bring food down. I found that odd, but since I had never been to the Prudential Center, I figured it was a new area and they wanted to keep it clean.
Imagine my surprise to find out we were front row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!
We sat down with the 5 minute warning being announced and pretty soon before we knew it - on with the show!
If you aren't familiar with the storyline behind
Disneyland Adventure:
The Incredibles family is going on vacation - to Disneyland! They want to 'lay low' and be a normal family so they do not bring their Incredibles suits with them. Of course when they get to Disneyland they are choosen as the Family of the Day and are selected to be grand marshalls in the parade. The go on various classic attractions but Mr. Incredible has to be reminded (repeatedly) to keep hands, arms, etc inside the vehicle at all times and learns that things he thinks are dangerous are in fact part of the show, audio animatronics, etc.
They are late getting to the parade and do not see that Syndrome has kidnapped Mickey and Minnie and is taking over Disneyland. With the help of Frozone and that fashion designer character - I forgot her name - they set out to save Disneyland, Mickey and friends and defeat Syndrome.
Ok, on with the show!
