My wife and I are planning a trip (just the two of us) in late July. It will be 11 days, 10 nights, and on the DDP. Most likely will stay at Pop, so dining there is limited to burgers and chicken. I am not an adventurous eater, as you'll see, but I can go beyond meat and potatoes. I believe this is trip 42 for us, so we know what we like, but we would love some new ideas. Here is a sample plan:

Arrival day; No park

Earl of Sandwich (freebe)

Hoop Dee Do (out of pocket)

Day 1 MK

Kona Café (out of pocket)

Sleepy Hollow waffle sandwiches (snack x2)

California Grill fireworks (sit down x4)

Day 2 AK

Tusker House early breakfast (SD x2)

Flame tree (CS x2)

Day 3 HS

Staring roll (S x2)

50’s Prime Time (SD x2)

Back Lot (CS x2)

Day 4 Epcot

Snacks @ Bakery in France (S x4)

Via Napoli pizza (out of pocket)

Electric Umbrella (CS x2)

Day 5 HS/Epcot

Momma Melrose lunch (SD x2)

Via Napoli menu (SD x2)

Day 6 MK

Crystal Palace early breakfast (SD x2)

Cosmic Rays (CS x2)

Pecos Bills (CS x2)

Day 7 Epcot

Eating & drinking around the world (out of pocket)

Day 8 HS

Writes stop (S x2)

Pizza Planet (CS x2)

Yachtsman (out of pocket)

Day 9 Epcot/MK

Chefs de France-price fixed lunch (out of pocket)

Friars Nook (CS x2)

Be Our Guest (SD x2)

Day 10

???
Any thoughts would be welcome. I can use snack credits and bring home Mickey rice crispy treats, but I need to use up SD & CS credits. I prefer to maximize value, thus paying out of pocket for things like Breakfast at Kona or Lunch at Liberty Tree because neither are worth a sit down table service credit.

Just a heads up: I don't think the waffle sandwiches are a snack credit at Sleepy Hollow.

If you like Starbucks, getting a Venti drink counts as a snack credit and is an excellent value/use of credit.

The Beastly Kiosk in AK lets you use a snack credit for a pasta bowl (I think it's a baked penne or a lobster m&c).

As @PghPiratesGirl mentioned, I don't think you can use a snack credit for the waffles. But I do believe they'll let you add a side, drink, and dessert to make a combo QS credit.

I am thinking that you have a good set up...we used CS at Pop ..some of their options arent to bad...also SC like for bagels and cream cheese at resort too..I have to have a breakfast soon after my feet hit the floor ..so always eat at resort ..except once we had a slice of toast to get me to the Akershus breakfast at Epcot...Hope that you enjoy your time

It may have been the funnel cake at Sleepy Hollow, there was a good snack credit option there. CS at Pop for breakfast were never our thing, so we may try using snack credits there.

Instead of YSH you might try Shula's about the same price, better steak.

Your trip and list sounds great! Maybe try somewhere in Disney Springs for dinner one night? We always have fun at Raglan Road. Would you consider one of the spots at Animal Kingdom Lodge? I know you said you aren't a particularly adventurous eater but I think you could find something at Jiko (signature) or Sanaa (think regular) and the overall atmosphere and exploring the resort is fun. No idea what it will be like but the new Animal Kingdom restaurant (believe I've heard it is a steakhouse & a signature) is due to open in the spring along with the evening show in the park - that may be worth checking out as well. Have fun!!

snack credit at Sleepy Hollow is good for a plain waffle or sugar/cinnamon, but not for any of the sandwiches.

When we stayed at AKL we had a great breakfast at Boma, and a good dinner at Jiko, though that was a bit much for me. The evening show part has my interest peaked though, so I may try adding that when my 180 days are here.
AKL is amazing, though navigating it can be confusing. I swear it felt like a three mile trek to get to our room, similar to navigating an aircraft carrier. It can take 15 minutes to walk to the bus or a smoking area, so we have avoided it the past few years. Maybe it's time for another try there.

Day 5. Do you really love Italian food enough to do it twice in one day? How about doing something else instead of VN, since you are also doing it another day? Maybe Biergarten or Teppan Edo or Rose & Crown?

On your last day, check out some of the DS restaurants. Raglan Road is one of our Favorites. Or Boma at AKL.
