I think we can all agree that we LIKE Bama Ed!!!

(and Captain Picard).

One thing that has not been brought up is that depending where her site will be(maybe her CM's friend can help with this over the phone), but you never know when a gator was around looking for a pork dinner.

I am certainty not hoping this happens, but is it there is the chance?

Oddly enough, I really worried about my parents' smallish dog when they moved to Florida several years ago. They've had plenty of gator sightings but Tyler is still safe and in one piece. I suppose if your pet is running loose there would be a chance, but it must not happen that often...otherwise I would think we'd hear a lot about it :confused3

I agree Kristin, I think its highly unlikely.........but leaving a pig in a tent at the far end of a loop, near a canal......its not impossible and to me its just another reason not to bring it to FW and leave the pet in a unprotected tent!

At least in a hard sided trailer or RV, it would be protected.

Can i make a suggestion? How about calling the fort, ask for a manager and ask them what their policy is. Then if you have issues you can point to a member of management rather then a CM. Their kennels are very nice and very well run. Maybe you could day board him/her there and pick him/her up when you are done for the day... Just give them a call. (407) 824-2900 At the end of the day, any problems you may have will be dealt with based on Disney policy. :)

In the end, you are in Florida and a tent consists of a piece of cloth thinner then the pants you are wearing. There are alligators, snakes and so on that roam the fort... I think if i was in a tent i would board the animal or at least board them during the day.

Very clickish....seems like the theme park thread. I'd leave my pet home as I've heard not great reviews of the most used pet boarding facility.

I for one very much appreciate Rusty's lists. They are short & sweet and extremely accurate! I wish more people on this board would stop rambling and be more concise like he is.

As for OPs original question, rules or no rules, I think you'd find it very hard to find any responsible pet owner or pet care professional who would agree that hauling your pig to FL to sit in a tent all day while you tour parks is a good idea. Get someone to stay with little Spam at the house while you FL; it will be safer and much less stressful for your pet.

PS-Loved the Picard Ed!

OP you were considering staying at a resort versus the campsites, were you not? what were you going to do with your pet then?

a lot of the PPs are just offering you their best advice - it's not worth the risk even if it were allowed. a lot of CMs have a lot of different information, and unfortunately not always true.

I always thought this forum had the kindest folks... thought (past tense). If I owned a pet, like OP, I'd be rather hurt.
