Assuming you mean 2005, it will be NOT be crowded at all. The parks & resorts pretty much empty out after New Year's Day. Most schools will back in session on January 3, 2005.

Have fun!

:D Yes I mean 2005!:D thank you! for the info I am much more excited now!:hyper:

Just bring your hat and gloves. I've been that very first week in January 3 times (and see ya there-I'll be there 1/2-1/6 2005) and it's gotten downright frigid sometimes. However, the crowds drop off right after the first.

Thank you! I figured we would bring gloves just in case. We have never been in January before. So we are looking forward to it!:D

Crowds should be no problem. Parks will be on the "short" schedule meaning that you will want to plan to be at the parks first thing in the morning as they will be closing early. No bid deal though. You'll have plenty of time to see the attractions, and there are fun activities after the parks close. Prepare to bundle up.:earsboy:

Thank you! Do they still do wishes and illuminations and spectromagic?? I have been wondering about that! Thank you!:wave2:

I love going in January (in fact I'll be there in mid-Jan of '05)! The weather is still very nice, compaired to a Philly winter its swimming weather. In addition to that the lines are very short.

::yes:: I am thinking the same thing! I am one of those people that if we get a mild 45 degree day in january or february I am running around outside with a t-shirt on! But we will come prepared just in case! Thank you!:wave2:

A co-worker of mine went this past January around the 9th. She said there were absolutely no crowds. It was fantastic. Weather not too bad. They did need a jacket some days and always at nights.

We'll be there the same time as you, and have been this time before. Yes, it can get chilly in the evenings and early mornings, but most of the time we were in our shorts/ t-shirts. Ok, getting soaked on Kali might not be the best option without a poncho, but in my opinion you get the best of the crowds ( meaning none) and perfectly comfortable weather. I think it depends on what weather you are used to. Here in the UK, our summer can be like a Florida January, so we were in heaven.
Oh yeah, one day out of our visit we went to Wet and Wild and had the park to ourselves.

Enjoy and maybe we'll see you there. We'll be the ones looking like we're in the Carribean!

Much love
Claire

Thank you both! I am really looking forward to this! We usually go in the fall. Last year in the begining of november it was boiling hot! So I am looking forward to beign able to cruise the park's with mild weather!:hyper: Maybe we will see you there Fizz13!! Enjoy your trip's! (and Happy Birthday!):Pinkbounc

I was there for your dates this year! We drove down on New Year's Day, and our first day in the parks was the 2nd. Crowds were fairly high that day, but nothing we couldn't manage. Weather was perfect up until our last day (of 5) and we nearly froze that day. I wore jeans and tanktops with a light sweatshirt at night. After the 2nd, crowds dropped off more and more everyday. Make sure to go to MK early in your trip if you want to see their Christmas tree, as it was gone by the time we went, despite the fact that other parks still had trees up after that. Oh well, the ones we saw were beautiful!!

Also, we saw all the nighttime shows except for Spectro. We decided not to see it, even though it was offered during our dates. We figured it would make the park crowded since it wasn't showing every night, and we'd seen it before. But we did see Wishes for the first time!

Thank you! I was really wondering about these shows!:D

I went a few years ago that same week. It was not very crowded, but more crowded than in September when we usually go. The Disney marathon may be that weekend, which would bring in more people. It was freezing when we were there!!! I live in CT and it was just as cool in Florida as in CT that week. I would definately bring warm clothing, including a hat and gloves. It was in the 30's and 40's when we were there. I have also been in December when it was in the 70's so be prepared for all temperatures.

Wow! 30 to 40 degree's! I am hoping for mid 60's:teeth: thank you!

I hope that it is warmer for you too!!! There were record lows in Miami. I never saw so many people with Mickey hats, gloves, and scarves. The stores could not keep them on the shelves.

We will be there the same time. We are leaving New Years day at 4 am (please let all the drunks be off the roads already) and staying at ASMo from the 2nd-7th. I think cooler weather is a good trade off for low crowds. We have been there Easter week and that was soooo crowded and sooo hot!!!! I cant wait. I kind of like the parks closing early, because then we can spend our evenings doing other things.
See you all there!!!

The weather is nice in jan, we were there last jan 2004. It was cool in the morning, mid 40's, then 70's in the afternoon. The parks were dead, literally. My dh and dd rode Dumbo 4x without having to exit and get back on again. We were there jan 13-20, and apparently the week before we arrived it was even less crowded. On mk em day, we felt like we had the park to ourselves for a few hrs, it was great!
Have a blast :)

:D Thank you all! I cant wait! We wont mind having to wear gloves and hats! As long as it is not 20 below!:scared1: thank you all for the info it is appreciated!:wave2:
