I currently have a 2-BR at SSR booked for Nov. 26-Dec. 2; I am wait-listed for that same time period at VWL. Dare I hope that I might get into VWL??? We would LOVE to stay there at Christmastime, and was surprised that so many resorts were booked the week after Thanksgiving when that is supposedly a "slow week". Any thoughts?

Slim to none. VWL is the smallest DVC and lots of members like to go there for the holiday decorations. I know that's part of the reason we're headed there for Thanksgiving.

That week after Thanksgiving has never been a slow week for DVC. Points are lower and the decorations are up. You also have MVMCP and CP going on.

When did you find out your waitlist came through? We are on the VWL waitlist for NYE, NYD and the day after but have not heard anything yet.

Thanks. I was in shock. It was one of those things I wait listed thinking "well, that will never happen, but it can't hurt to try".

It came through about three weeks ago. Seems like we were waitlisted about six weeks. We were not trying for NYE though.

Good luck on yours! With the crackdown on the commercial renters, seems like some high demand slots are opening up!
