What are the odds for free dining starting in January

I really wanted free dining. It would save us so much money. I am wondering since the 4/3 5/2 deal is not official yet if they will offer free dining on down the line. You think Disney is waiting to see how this goes over first?

I'd be very surprised if Disney came back with a free dining offer later. I can't use the 5/2 for my trip, so I'm hoping for a room only discount to come out later (like around Nov. or Dec.). I guess we will see what happens once the currently room-only discount ends.

I just applied the 5/2 to my existing ressie and am soooooo disappointed.:sad2: Don't get me wrong, I am grateful for any savings that I get, but my trip for 2/13-2/21 at POP in standard room, 2 adults 2 kids MYW with PH and the reg dining plan is 3006.42!!!!:scared1: We went for the same length of time at the POP with the same tix and dining during spring break this year and it was $1000.00 less than this trip!!!!! Does that sound right to anyone because I have sticker shock! Free dining would save us so much more. I think that I will just keep an eye out for upcoming discounts and see if anything better comes along. And if anyone else thinks that their value ressie seemed high, please let me know so I won't feel so crazy!!:confused3 I have been booking our vacays for over 10 years and this is the first time I have ever felt like the price was DEFINATELY NOT RIGHT!!

How old are you kids, have them moved into 'adult' price range (10 and up)? That would make a huge difference in dining plan and tickets prices for them.

Free dining will be the better deal for us too. That is why we booked for mid-late August. More of a chance for our dream to come true. Although if they did release free dining for earlier in the summer, I would move my trip up to go sooner. Can't take the kids out of school, so it must be summer, and I am not counting on a great deal like free dining for peak summer season. :sad1:

Hi! Thanks! I hadn't thought about this and so I will be checking on it ASAP. My kids are 8 and 4 so I would hope that they didn't move them up to adult, but stranger things have happened....:confused3

We booked 9 days (low season) with 5 day base tickets (no ph and no water parks), with free dining for 4 disney 'adults' and 3 children and it was just a bit over 3000.00 (2 rooms at the POP)......so I think the 3000.00 quote for 2 adults, 2 children is a bit high. It may be because we go during the slower season though?

I called and spoke with 2 different CMs and they have both assured me that the price I was given is correct and I wasnt misquoted....When I look online and run a quote, I come up with something totally different and when I mentioned that, they blew me off. So I guess I will just have to keep it like it is and wait and see if another deal is offered that may benefit my situation a little more. I am grateful to be saving any amount of money, but it seems that the people booking in the values really got the short end of the stick on this one! We did the 4/3 this last year and stayed at a value, so I would love to know the reason behind the 5/2 at values this go around......good luck to everyone and here's hoping that there are deeper discounts still to come!!!
