I was wondering if certain use years are more sought after then others and why? I understand if you are adding on and try ot get the same uy but other then that what is the big uy that people go after?
It all depends when you travel. For me - we have an Oct UY and our most common time to travel is November. So, if for some reason we have to cancel or delay our trip I still have until May to bank our points. Now, next year we have a trip coming up in March so its still works out ok. I think it is a safety net. What would not be good is to travel at the end of your UY and then have to cancel.
I guess I was wondering if one uy is more apt to get grabbed up by disney then another during ROFR.
I is going to be a LOONNNGGGG month od agonizing and waiting.
We travel Aug-Jan mostly so our June and Aug contracts are good. I think Feb, June and Dec seem to be the big months (most sought after), but I don't really know for sure. Certain months have more contracts offered, so that's always a good thing (more options).
I think your OKW OCT is good, but the $57/point might be the problem. Seems Disney is trying to keep OKW at $60. Your number of points (150) is kinda good too...Disney seems to like the bigger contracts. It will be a long month for you! Good luck!

absolutely...I remember seeing a posting a month or so ago on which UY DVD was ROFR'ing and it was very apparent that some UY (depending on resort) were more popular than others. Remember that even when DVD does a ROFR, they cannot change the resort or UY for those points, so if they have a waitlist of people looking for an VWL OCT UY and a surplus of VWL FEB UY points and two identical VWL contracts come up for ROFR review but one is a FEB UY and one is a OCT UY..well..guess which one will be ROFD'ed ???
