What are the FD rumors???

I already book FD for August 20th-27th. I found out this morning that 2 famlies we are friends with booked with the 30% off pin but hoping FD will be offered again.

What have you read,heard or know??

The current 2011 free dining is closed.

Until Disney announces it again, we will not know. And a rumor is just that - a rumor. It isn't factual information that anyone can truly count on.

I don't expect it to be soon. I think their discounts are coming slower and getting smaller. They are dangling their toes in the water to see if they need to extend it again this year.

I confirmed with a CM last week that FREE Dining Pins will be released 3/1. Some people on the boards say they have been able to book already It sounds like they are attached to your name, but not 100& positive on that part!

I just want to reiterate what others here have said before...CM's have a good track record of knowing less than everyone on the Dis Boards know! So, don't count on anything they tell you, especially if it's for a future offer. This is a wait and see game and everything else is just a rumor. I dont' mean to be a downer, but if people don't start getting FD pins on March 1st, this is going to be one angry forum next week.

Some people have, in fact, received Pins for free dining and have already booked. A second set of Pins is set to be released on March 1st. All I can tell you is to check back with reservations often to see if there is a Pin associated with anyone in your traveling party.

Example: we are a party of 6 adults and 2 kids going. When I call I check to see if there are pins for any of the 6 adults in our party. We scored 40% off room rate that way. Now we are waiting to see if free dining becomes available and we will switch to that when/if it becomes available. Keeping my fingers crossed and driving disney reservations crazy in the meantime .

No one really knows....well except for the main person who puts these discounts out and I'm sure he's not telling anyone LOL I have seen a lot of rumors though, so we can only hope. I'd love to book a short surprise trip in December to go along with our September trip, and I'd love to move our September trip a couple of weeks in to October. But oh well, at this point I'm just glad we're booked for a week under the previous Free Dining.
