What are the crowds like the last week of October?

We usually go the last week of October because that's when DD's school is off for Fall Break.

October used to be a slower time of the year but that is not the case anymore. The F&WF and MNSSHP are popular events and really draw in the people. I've never been to WDW during the holidays and haven't been there in the summer in 20 years so I don't have anything to compare October to. The only months I can compare are September (low crowds, hot and rainy, value season) and October (moderate/slightly heavy (I'd say) crowds, beautiful weather, regular season).

Personally, we love WDW in October.

We've been twice during the last week of October...in 2003 and 2005...both times were really busy...

From my experience: slower, but the weekends are still very busy. It seemed like a lot of locals took advantage of the lower number of tourists, and made higher numbers of their own. I also noticed a lot of local middle and high school groups.. got stuck in line behind them in splash mountain and soarin'.. Those chaparones need to learn some discapline. I'm not talking being kid-like, but throwing things, pushing eachother into people, screaming "obscene" things. Many 12 year old children nearly perished on that trip, let me tell you.
