I think at this point...most people are just happy that it was offered for aug to Oct....but I'm with you..free dining in Dec would be great.....we have our second trip scheduled for then.. our first is in aug..with free dining

When you have to plan meals 180 days in advance, I sure wish the discounts would also be out that early.
So, anyone heard any rumors about what the October-December discount might be?

That is correct, it was only for Disney Visa Card holders and for very select dates and not for the general public.I had free dining in December in 2008. You are right though...I don't think it was a GP offer. I think I got it through my Disney Visa. I'm hoping it happens again this year!!!![]()


The economy hasn't improved much at all, so I think we have a good chance that free dining, or at least a good discount of some sort will be offered into November and December. Disney has a lot of resort rooms to fill, giving people free dining or discounts to fill rooms is better than not filling those rooms at all.
Remember that the surrounding hotels/resorts around Disney are very competitive price wise and want your business. If Disney wants to survive the recession, they'll have to stay competitive and play ball.![]()
for us wanting to travel after Oct.2, this is a slow period for them.
