I was just wondering what the most comfortable sandals are to walk in for the theme parks? We will be there from July 25-July 5 so we will be going on water rides and getting our feet wet.:sunny:

Another vote for Teva. Lands End also has a new "sneaker" type shoe that is quick drying and sounds perfect for Disney.

Thanks sssooo much for the land's end idea!! I went online and found some perfect shoes for Disney! They drain water out to keep your feet cool and they float!! I ordered two pairs of them! Thanks again!!!:earsboy: :Pinkbounc ::yes:: ::yes::

I went to the Teva site, and those look great. I have really wide feet tho, does anyone know if they sell them at a store where I can try them on first, before I buy? And if so, where?

Are they true sandals or more like the clogs? I have Merrell clogs that I love but they're way to hot for WDW. And, I've never seen sandals by Merrell anywhere. I did get some from Land's End last year that were pretty good.

I just bought a pair of Nike sandals and I love them, they make me feel like I am walking on air! My mom even bought the same pair as me, so they must be good.

If you have a Sportsmart or any kind of Sports store by you go there, they should have the Teva sandals there for you to try on.

My DD has Merrell sandals. Mine are Ecco and the most comfortable (and expensive!) things I've ever put on my feet (but worth every penny at DW).

I have to say, I'm a true-blue Birkenstock fan! I wore Birkenstocks all through trip to Turkey, where we must've walked 10 miles a day! I wore the same pair on a 4-day trip to WDW. . my feet never hurt!

What are Tevas like? I'm curious, since many of y'all seem to like those!

I love my Tevas. I have several pairs but just got the Wraptors for this trip.

As far as berkie my partner likes those better. She has a pair of tevas for getting wet but perfers her berks. both are good sandles just depends on what you like better. i think berks have a bit more support and form to your feet but tevas are very comfy.

I just bought Merrell "High tide" sport sandals. I tried Teva's on, but these felt better to my feet.

I have to say I like Birkenstocks the best because they offer support for your feet. Teva's can get wet, which is great but they don't really offer any real support. If I am doing a lot of walking, I always wear Birkenstocks because they keep my feet and legs from throbing.

I must admit that I am a tennis shoe person. I tried to wear Tevas on our last trip and got blisters on the bottom of my feet. Good tennis shoes give a lot more support. Just my opinion!

Beware of the Lands End water sneaker. There is another thread about this soemwhere...

I bought everyone in my family a pair. Hubby and my Mom were the only ones to keep them. I see a potential for blisters with these, at least for myself and my girls. Regardless, the girls were on backorder for forever. I ended up canceling it and we all got a pair of the Lands End action sandal. THEY ARE WONDERFUL!
My Mom ended up ordering herself a pair despite her keeping the water mesh sneaker, too.

A tip from another DISer I got, too - I wear a 5 1/2 and was able to order a kid size 4. My Mom wears a 6 1/2 and got the kids size 5. They are much cheaper than the adult size! They are so comfortable. I'm sure this will be all we wear on our trip.

lenshanem,
could you find the thread about the Lands End water sneaker? I was thinking about buying them because they looked comfortable. If I wore socks with them do you think they would be o.k. for Disney World?  :Pinkbounc :earseek:

They feel like second skin as soon as you take them out of the box. I love my Merrell Sandals, I have never had problems with blisters. Happy shoe shopping!!!!!!

I've mostly wore my Birks on previous trips. Tevas got some WDW miles on them also. I found years ago on a WDW trip alot of people wore socks w/ their sandels, I tried it and still do for a change. ::yes::
