If you are looking for an app for wait times while you are in the park, MouseWait is a great choice! There is a very big community of Disney fans who are constantly in the parks updating the wait times, so the times a quite accurate. You do need a network connection to run the app, so it helps to have a phone that has a data plan.
This app is great even if you are not in the parks. They are constantly blogging and posting pictures of Disneyland and Disneys California Adventure, so you get up date posts on events that are happening in the parks. And one of the best things about this app is that is FREE, definitely worth checking out!!
Hope this helps!

Another vote for this app!

Living in Canada, we don't have a data plan on our phones for when we roam to the USA. What we do prior to our trip to the parks is purchase a T-mobile SIM card on ebay (and try to obtain a 714 area code number when we activate it online.) We use it in an UNLOCKED GSM phone, either android, or iphone I suppose would work. (Unlocked means it is unlocked from your carrier, using a simple code you can purchase on, say, ebay, or other online websites, and punch in a few numbers to unlock it so other carriers can also be used on your GSM phone.) Optiumus One android phone was the phone we used the last time we were there. This worked great for us, as T-mobile also sells this model of phone, so we figured it would work with their SIM card, and it did. You do have to input the APN data settings on your phone, and set it to use T-mobile data, it's not hard to do, and we paid only $1.49 a day for unlimited data service when in the parks. We had an accurate wait time for rides, and sometimes we shared that info. with others when we overheard them saying, "Let's go see if Space Mountain has a long wait", etc. and they were always pleased to get the info. We also timed our waits in line, and provided input on some rides that had not been recently updated. It was fun to be a part of that community. They also often have generous people doing 'RAOK' (random acts of kindness) such as giving out vinylmations, etc., if you are the first to go find the area where they hid it. It's a fun community, and it's nice that it's a free app.
This is another thing I love about Hojos - they are sponsors of Mousewait, and, they also have their website with the webcam showing different areas of Disneyland. I love when hotels are actively participating in all of the fun! Kudos to Hojos
