What are the advantages to a WDW Annual Pass?

Now I have another question...

...nevermind, I did actually find the answer to my question in the sticky at the top of the page!! Thank you Cheshire Figment!!

And thanks everyone!! Your answers have convinced us that this is the right option for us!!

The major problem with Annual Passes concerns when they are in a drawer more than 100 miles from Disney World and they whine a lot and scream:

Use Me!

:rotfl2::rotfl:

Tea and iPad not a good mix, but easily wiped up. :lmao: This is what I was just thinking about personally when considering getting one. That 5000 miles really would be pulling at me with those whines and screams.

tables in wonderland helps if you don't want to do DDP.
10% off at stores for regular annual pass, 15% off for premium
when you renew, it's cheaper

This is so true. Once we decided that this was the way to go, we were trying to figure out how to squeeze in 3 trips in the next 12 months. :rotfl:

It certainly takes the budgeting out of "just another quick trip" for us....be it a short trip for MNSSHP or MVMCP, etc.... We have DVC, so the room is taken care of, we have the annual pass, so we might as well get more bang for our buck, then it's just a matter of airfare, food and souveniers.

Love the annual pass !

So that's the noise I keep hearing from the drawer. :)

You are certainly correct because ever since I decided to buy one I've been running through all kinds of ideas on how I can get back ASAP.

There are also some discounts on tours, which I don't believe has been mentioned before. I got 10% off my KTTK tour and my Steam Train tour due to the AP.

I'm not going to make it 264 days...I'm watching Wishes on my iPhone right now. *sigh* I think I need to just live in the castle and be done with it. LOL

Well I just talked myself into them! ;) Today would be a great day to just pop on into Epcot... darn pesky distance. DH is off today and everything!

upon expiration of your AP does it cost the same to re-up for another year or do you get a discount?

There is a discount. If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in this Forum, especially Post #15-G, you can get a lot more information and Post #18 shows prices. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.

Let's not forget an AP allows you to hop from park to park...as many times as you want to...all day-every day. :cloud9:
Quick question, though. Does one have to buy their tickets at a Disney Store to get the voucher instead of the ticket? I heard the voucher lets you activate the ticket (and start your 365 days' countdown) on the first day you visit as opposed to the ticker starting on the day someone purchases the ticket.

If you purchase your ticket at any location other than a WDW ticket sindow all you will get is an exchange certificate. This can be AAA, Disney Store, online or by phone, or even from a military base.

When you actually get a "live" ticket, by either making the purchase at a WDW Ticket or Guest Relaitons Window, or redeem the exchange certificate (or will-call) at a window is tyhe first date of use for the AP. And the pass is good for a full year, valid through Park entry the same date the next year.

too true... we bought AP when we were there in Dec 2010 for Christmas/New Years....

well... we are going again the 1st week of April....
planning another trip the last week of Sept...
and REALLY want to squeeze in ANOTHER trip the 1st week of Dec...

4 week long trips in 12 months.... commuting from VIRGINIA.... yikes...

people THINK I'm crazy... I KNOW IT!!!!

My record for use of an AP, and I was living in a Virginia suburb of Washingon DC, was beteen 9/2/99 and 9/10/00 when we had four trips totalling 41 nights in the Contemporary Tower.
