We are taking my parents along on our trip so that DH and I can have some free time do to some adult only things. What would you suggest? We are doing the Polynesian Luau. We also thought about doing Pleasure Island one night. How much does Pleasure Island cost? We are doing 5 day hoppers

We usually travel with my in-laws as well to help out with the kids. Last trip (2000) we went to Le Cellier for dinner and then went to MGM and rode ToT and RnR coaster. We went to Downtown Disney and did shopping on our own. (At least I did, DH sat outside the store and held onto the packages). We also sometimes just take the night and park hop to do the things we don't get to do with the kids.

I think this year (December), we are going to try and take a carriage ride.

In the evenings, DH and I like to visit other resorts, soak in the atmosphere, have a cocktail and stroll the grounds. (Especially at WL and Poly)

My husband and I had a lot of fun on a surrey bike for two that we rented at the Wilderness Lodge when we were staying there.

We rented bikes at WL and had a great ride around the campgounds ( I'm 50+ ), a very enjoyable afternoon break, its cool in the shade os all those trees. You coould also try horseback riding at the stables at Wilderness Campgrounds. :jester:

Dh and I also spent a few hours a Disney Quest one nite. It was fun playing all the video games we remembered from the 80's.

For Disney Quest and Pleasure Island can you use Plus options or do you have to pay separate?

We did a carriage ride at FW. It was awesome. We paid $30 plus tip for a 30 minute ride. I think it made for a very romantic part of a special evening we shared at WDW last September. Mickey

Pleasure Island admission is, I believe $21.25. It's worth it just to go to Adventurer's Club.

Kungaloosh!
Mort.

You can us the plus option on your Park Hopper Plus pass (has to be the PLUS pass - not the regular Park Hopper) for Pleasure Island but Disney Quest is a seperate ticket.

DisneyQuest - $33.02 Adults (10 and older). This is a Mousesavers.com price. I'm not sure what the full price is without the discount but this gives you an idea on what you'll have to spend.

We've gone solo (just DH and I) quite a few times and went to Disney Quest once (lots of fun) and Pleasure Island quite often.

Enjoy whatever you do.

Do you need to make a a reseravation in advance for a carriage ride? also do they do them every night, and from what time?
How many people does a carriage hold, 2 or 4

Not sure where you're staying, but we stay at the Boardwalk & I love to walk over to epcot & stand in France to watch illuminations, then we stroll back to the boarwalk & have crepes & watch all the fun stuff going on on the boardwalk (sword swallowers, fire jugglers & more!) We also love to have dinner at portabello yacht club- they have great sangria, then go see cirque du soleil- it is a lot of fun. Or try dinner at San Angel in Mexico- day or night, thats always romantic. One tip for the luau- go to the later show- there will be less kids there!! Have a great time! :)

My boyfriend and I spent the day at the Saratoga Springs spa :teeth: It's a little expensive but it was soooo relaxing! You get use of their facilities for the day which includes an exercise room, sauna, steam room, hot tub and there's a really nice and relaxing lounge.

Afternoon tea at the GF is also a nice way to spend a couple of hours.
