I see on the menus alot of the QS places offer standard, prepackaged chocolate cake and carrot cake. I also see people making reference to better desserts offered elsewhere.

What are some of your favorite quick service places to visit that have fantastic (or at least good) desserts?

oooooh, good question. I don't know the answer, but good question!:thumbsup2

How about Sunshine Seasons by Soaring? I remember there were lots of dessert items.

Boulangerie Patisserie
Kringla

I haven't researched some of these yet, but are these counter service meals considered a "great value"? I do think Sunshine Seasons it, but aren't familiar with the others.

Does it come down to deciding if you want a special dessert or a great value on the meal?

In your original post you only asked about CS with "better desserts" and not whether the overall meal would be a great value.

Sunshine Seasons has an extensive selection of entrees. The other 3 are much more limited so if you like the entree choices then they have excellent desserts. Frankly, I go to Starring Rolls for the cupcakes and not the sandwiches/sushi. :rotfl2:

You can check on allears for the menus.

Mine would have to be WPE their cheesecake with the burnt sugar topping like a creme brulee is my favorite I could skip the meal and just have dessert :goodvibes but the entrees are also really good!!!

If dessert is an important part of your lunch (as it is with ours during a WDW vacay). Then you don't want to miss these spots:

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons. They have a "bakery" section to which you can choose from at least a dozen things. Brownies, cakes, pies. But the strawberry shortcake is not to be missed.

DHS: Starring Rolls. You must have one of their cupcakes!! Oh peanut butter chocolate is a chunk of heaven here on earth!!

AK: Believe it or not Restaurantosaurus has the best chocolate mousse. Definitely get that one if eating there. (which by the way I think has the best burger out of them, Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills).

Lastly is Wolfgang PUcks express: The creme brulee is to die for! I am not a brulee person but this creamy concoction is delish!

I love that Starring Rolls also has the Napoleon! Num!

Great suggestions!

How am I going to fit these desserts in on my current diet :confused3

Trust me you won't have to worry about it. I am normally a very healthy eater, basically veggies, fruits and fish. However, when I go to Disney I eat whatever I want which includes dessert at every meal (since we use QSDP) and most of my snacks are sweets as well. I'm a major sweet tooth
When I get back from my trip I always find that I actually loose a few pounds. You have to account for walking for 12+ hours a day for several days. That burns a lot of calories.
Just get back on track with your normal diet as soon as you get home and you will do great :goodvibes

Must second (or 3rd or 4th) starring rolls cafe. It is my DH's favorite place to eat and he always asks which day we get to eat there! They have these giant sandwiches on foccacia bread. I believe they have a ham, turkey, and maybe a veggie one too? :confused3 Anyway, you get a bag of chips (or fresh fruit) plus a dessert and drink when you use a CS credit here. The dessert includes anything in their display case, a la, a bakery store front. They have huge, indulgent cupcakes, as well as classic desserts like cheesecake and chocolate cake too. I believe they are also seasonal as well - so you might find something pumpkin around the fall season?? I would love that. I believe we have also had tiramisu from here and I loved it. :goodvibes

We must have walked by Starring Rolls a hundred time in previous visits, but our last trip in 2010 I told my DW that I had read some good stuff about the place, and if its possible to still have a hidden gem at WDW, this is it. Not just their desserts but lunch sandwiches as well. So nice to get away from the burgers and pizza and nuggets.

Best CS, imo, in DHS and definitely probably in my top 5 in all WDW.

Our favorite was the hand scooped ice cream sundae at the Seashore Sweets on the Boardwalk...it was huge and included several toppings...more than enough to share!

The Norway Bakery at EPCOT is one of our favorites. You used to be able to get soup, sandwich, drink and then pick a dessert from their selection but now you get fruit instead of the soup :sad2:but it is still a good value and tastes so very good. Nice quiet, shady spot too and great for people watching.

Slightly Goofy

Aside from the chocolate caramels with sea salt from Germany (that I was addicted to!), my favourite dessert of the week was the individual apple pie from Liberty Inn.

I love the cupcakes at Pizza Planet (kind of makes it worth it to eat there - pizza not so great). Also, anything at WPE. The creme brulee was heavenly.
