what are some examples of an "appetizer"

This applies to the TS meal of course. Am I right in understanding that a character breakfast would constitute a TS meal - what would an appetizer be - actually 6 appetizers - there are 6 of us?

What about an evening meal appetizer - may be I am taking it out of context. To me an appetizer is a blooming onion or chicken wings - do they actually mean something like a personal size soup or salad when they say appetizer?

We've always done a character breakfast - never took the time at lunch or dinner because we are touring the parks.

Wow, you must have read my mind. I was wondering the same thing as I looked at menus. I'll have the DDP as well, and was wondering if soup/salad count as an appetizer?!

Breakfast: We didn't do any breakfasts, but I believe your "appetizer" at breakfast is juice (in addition to coffee, tea, soda or whatever "beverage" you choose). No dessert at breakfast, either.

Dinner: It depends on the restaurant, but an appetizer can be many different things--a cup of soup, a salad, shrimp cocktail, nachos, cheese plate, onion rings and, yes, sometimes chicken wings.

Keep in mind that if you're at a buffet, there is no "appetizer" or "dessert" order, you just get whatever you'd like off the buffet.

Enjoy!

they can mean anything! At LeCellier DH and I each had a bowl of cheese soup which was enough for one while DS had the mussels and it was a huge serving.

We had crab cakes at several meals and most times they were 2 tiny cakes and not enough to share, but things like onion rings and chicken wings were.

I'm not sure I'm reading your question correctly, but if you are asking what your appetizer is at character breakfasts, or other buffet meals, you don't get a separate appetizer. The buffet counts as your entire meal--appy, entree and dessert. Enjoy!

For a character meal, they are usually set menu's or a buffet and that's what you get - what is offered. No appetizer/entree/dessert.

For a table service dinner or lunch, you choose something off the appetizer portion of the menu. Could be soup or salad but who wants soup or salad when you can have crab cakes? =) Sometimes the portions are huge, like chicken wings at Kona, and sometimes they are small, like the shrimp cocktail at Coral Reef. Depends on the restaurant.
