What are my chances?

Hi guys. I just found out today that my return flight home has been switched to a later time. The day I leave from Disney to home (Boston), I will be staying at AKL. The date will be Friday, July 8th 2005. What do you think my chances are of getting a later check out time? I was thinking of trying to check out at 1:00 instead of 11:00. Anyone ever tried this and been successful? Let me know!

I'm sorry to say that I don't think your chances are very good. I have never heard of anyone who has confirmed being allowed to check out late when staying on points.

Have your bags stored and go do something while you are waiting.

Sorry to say, but there is no more late checkouts with DVC. They used to do it years ago, but I guess it was abused with people checking out later than scheduled and then there wasn't enough time for housekeeping to get the units cleaned for the arriving guests.

Remember for every member hoping for a late checkout, there is another member hoping for a room to be ready before 4:00.

You're staying at AKL? Not one of the DVC properties?

Almost no chance at a DVC property.

Some chance if you're in a regular resort room. We've gotten 1 PM checkout 1/2 dozen times at a resort and didn't get it ~ 3 times. It depends on how busy the resort is. Good luck!

We were just at the CR and had no problem getting a late checkout.

Last time we stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort we were given a checkout of 1pm, but we weren't staying on points. Good luck!

Thanks guys. At least I feel I have aglimmer of hope because it's a hotel instead of a DVC studio or villa.
