What are my chances?

We're trying to do a last minute trip to WDW for March14-21. All studios and 1 br are booked. I'm waitlisted for all the resorts, for either room choice. Do I have any chance of getting that call telling me I have a room? Has anyone been in this situation and the waitlist has come through?

No guarantees. But kids do get sick, people do lose or change jobs, and vacation plans do get cancelled. Hanging around this board, I've heard a number of "Our waitlist went through at the last minute!" stories.

What you might want to do, if air reservations are involved, is book cancellable accomodations somewhere else as a backup.

Remember that the wait list cancels at 30 days and a new one starts then at 7 days, no more wait list. Get on the wait list at exactly 30 days then at 7 days call every day. A cancellable cash reservation might be a good idea. A non WDW timeshare might be worth investigating as well.

We've got 5 out of 7 nights so far! We're at OKW for three nights and BWV for 2! We may just pull this off yet!

What about staying at one of the other resorts on points ie Carribean Beach Resort, or Coronado Springs or Port Orleans? The points are comparable and they would probably have availability?
