Hi all I am looking to go to the world in Sept and I have questions. If free dining is offered I would like to try and book it for my trip. I have not made a ressie yet but I was wondering how fast the values fill up once the code becomes public? I am looking into staying at ASMO and want to know my chances. Will I need to get up early the day the codes released to book right away? Call me wacky but I want to be sure I get that hotel. How fast do the values fill up once the code is out. Thanks for your responses and may you all have great vacations.

They fill fast..usually POP is the first to fill up.I got ASmo last year because POP was filled...I called the day after the code for the general public was released.

Are you definately going in September regardless of Free Dining? If you are, I book now and hope that a Free Dining Code comes out and then call with the code when it is released. I did that in 2005 and had no problems with the CM adding the code to my existing ressie. We are also planning on going in Sept rergardless of Free Dining, so I am planning on doing the same thing. If things change, well then you may have to change your reservation, but if you wait, you may loose the hotel you want anyways. I am really not sure if there is really a win-win situation here.

I would love to book now but What do I do? Do I just book it without the dining plan or with the dining plan and then if the code comes out tell them to apply that to my ressie? I have never done Sept but my dates are set as far as time off work and such.Thanks for helping me its why I come here to these boards.

There is no guarantee you will or won't have to rebook. Each resort is only allotted so many rooms for the FD promo. POP and ASMo will sell out first. The promo is usually released 3 days earlier to Disney Visa holders. POP and ASMo were both sold out of FD rooms when they promo opened to the general public last year. Some people have said that they kept calling back for a few weeks and a few did get rooms at POP. The previous posted said they didn't have a problem in 2005, but that was the first year. Fast forward to 2008, the fourth year Free Dining will be offered, and there will be a much harder time of getting the resort you want. We went this past September and the crowds were a lot larger than we thought they would be. The free dining secret is out!!!
