What are my chances of getting my luggage to the Disney room if we arrive at 6:30pm?

This will be our arrival time at MCO. I have never done an evening flight getting to Orlando. I know the cut off is 10 pm for Magical Express delivery (hands free) of luggage to your room each night. We will arrive on Nov.26. I don't really think it will be so busy that day for arrivals. We are staying at POP Century.

Is there a way I could get the luggage that night myself by going to bell services or whatever?

There's no way I can take the luggage (I have three pieces of luggage) with me on the Magical Express bus. I will be pushing a wheelchair and there's only the two of us.

If I have to wait until morning what's the earliest that they begin the process of delivering luggage to the rooms?

TIA for the info.

I think you are a bit discombobulated. They will still deliver your bags to your room past 10pm. The Value resorts usually stop delivering bags at midnight (though they sometimes go later) but the Moderate and Deluxe resorts will bring them to your room 24/7. 10pm is the cut off time at the airport for your flight time. If your flight arrives after 10pm you have to get your own bags.

Typically it takes DME about 3 hours after airport arrival for your bags to arrive in your room.

I would say you'd have your luggage by 10:30PM (if not earlier). BUT, please pack a carry-on with everything you'd need for that night and the next day. Not only does that cover ME, but also the airline. I think the airline is more likely to delay your luggage than ME.

Actually, it's three hours after resort check in; not airport arrival. As a result, the OP should expect luggage in their room by 11:00 p.m. in most cases.

As has been noted, the 10:00 p.m. cut off has nothing to do with luggage delivery to the room. The cut off only applies to when they stop pulling bags for transport at the airport. Luggage should still be delivered to the room when it arrives unless, as noted, it gets to a value resort after luggage services closes at around midnight.

Last Aug I arrived at POR around 9pm, and my luggage came about 1:30am. No more evening flights for me. I could've had bell services hold them until morning, but I had a teen dgd with me and she "had" to have her stuff.:lmao:

That's within expectations for a flight at that time. What it has to do with a 6:30 p.m. flight remains a question. If anything, it supports the proposition that the OPs bags will arrive by 11 p.m.

My experience with ME has been that the luggage arrives in our room 3 hours after the plane lands in Orlando.

Last time we stayed at ASM we got in around 11am and our luggage showed up while we were sleeping. :cloud9:

Just got back from Disney World. I arrived @ 10 AM & got bags @ 4 PM. I'll always carry my own bags ,If you can't plan accordingly

Was your room ready earlier than that? If not, that would explain the timing. If so, that's outside the norm that you should expect. Wouldn't bother me because I would have packed what I needed and been off to the parks when they got there anyway.

You should always have what you need right away in your carry-on, no matter if you let Magical Express handle your bags or not. It is much more likely the airline will misdirect your luggage than it is for M.E. to lose it.

As for the time frame, quoting from my M.E. packet here: "Your luggage will travel separately from you and may take up to 3 hours after you check in at the resort to be delivered to your room." Now even having said that, I have been to WDW during peak season and had the ME bus driver say it was going to take 4 hours after check in to get our bags. That was over the 4th of July.
